It's also coming to PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. That's all we know.

Ivory Tower, a studio built of former Test Drive Unlimited, Need for Speed, and V-Rally developers, is bringing their next game to PlayStation 4, according to the resume of freelance CG artist Sebastien Alzamora.

“Outsourcing as a 3D graphic next-gen on the development of… confidential game (Ivory Tower, XBOX360, PS3, PS4),” reads the resume.

The next-generation Xbox, codenamed Durango, is not listed. Though, it’d be odd for it not to arrive on Microsoft’s new console, as well. We take it it’ll appear.

Ivory Tower was founded in 2007 and has an exclusive partnership with Assassin’s Creed publisher Ubisoft to distribute their upcoming game, which, according to internet sleuth Supererogatory, is a spiritual successor to Test Drive Unlimited.

Thanks, Supererogatory.

I wonder how easy it acutally will be to port games from next XBOX to PS4 and vice versa. We didn’t actually see a lot of multi-plat games for 2-3 years on current gen, when the devs finally got it down. Maybe it will take awhile again and that’s why it’s only listed for PS4

It will probably be different this time. According to rumors, both console’s hardware is very similar (both are built on AMD64), so it probably won’t be hard to port the games between them.

A good question. But, then, one also has to wonder how easy it is to port between 360 and the next Xbox? Unless it’s hard, shouldn’t they be able to port the 360 version?

It’ll actually be a lot easier this time I’m guessing. The PS3 architecture while more advanced was far more difficult to code for than the simplicity of the 360. This is also why porting from 360 to PS3 usually went pretty poorly, but porting from PS3 to 360 was pretty much flawless. This time around though it seems they are pretty much the same (at least from what little knowledge we do have and if any of it actualy holds any weight).

i hope sony learned their lesson this gen.

      can’t wait for PS4 ^^

Based on Vita, I don’t think they’ll go overly complicated for no reason again.
