Action-adventure turn-based card game lands on December 4.

Sony has officially announced Uncharted: Fight for Fortune, an “action-adventure turn-based card game” featuring the heroes of the Uncharted universe, for PlayStation Vita. Created by Uncharted: Golden Abyss developer SCE Bend Studio and newcomer One Loop Games, it will launch as a download title on December 4 for $4.99 in North America and sometime in early December for a TBD price in Europe.

“The core gameplay in Uncharted: Fight for Fortune involves creating a team of Faction cards featuring heroes, villains, and mercenaries from the Uncharted universe, then using that team to defeat your opponent while defending yourself from their attacks,” explained technical director Chris Reese.

“Each Faction card can be equipped with powerful Resource and valuable Fortune cards, which enhance their stats and give them special abilities. Once you’ve selected and equipped a card, it’s time to head into battle! During combat, attacks either reduce the health of opposing Faction cards or the health of your opponent. Defeating an opposing Faction card removes it from play, while reducing the health of your opponent to zero wins you the game.”

Reese also revealed a new patch is in development for Uncharted: Golden Abyss, which will power up the artifacts you’ve collected for immediate use within Fight for Fortune. You’ll be able to use these artifacts in the upcoming card game to battle other players and AI.

So that’s what that bug in Golden Abyss displayed earlier this year. Someone on Gaf posted a screenshot of it and it’s been mostly forgotten until now. Actually interested since I wanted more to do with Golden Abyss, now I have a reason to hunt the rest of those treasures.

the gameplay should have been Metal Gear AC!D

now that’s how you play a card game :P

Agree, I love play that game in my phone a years ago
Metal Gear Acid is like Metal Gear + FF Tactic + YU-GI-OH in one package

but unfortunately after watch the trailer, this game is almost 99% like YU-GI-OH with Tomb Raider theme instead Egypt theme T_T

yeah i prefer the Metal Gear AC!D style though :P

i think people should also play Duelist of the Roses if you want a different kind of card game like AC!D

  • Why all the hate? We sorta knew this was coming, and it’s a $5 card game. I think it makes sense for a portable, the idea is to play it when you only have a small amount of time to play.

If they were charging $60 for the game, I’d sorta understand all the hate.

I don’t get it either. I love TCGs but I quit playing them physically a couple of years ago. Bottomless pit if you wanna stay competitive. So  I love playing (Trading) Card Games virtually on PC or console. The MtG Duels of the Planeswalkers games for PC and PS360 are freakin’ amazing. Really don’t get the hate. It’s cheap and we’re not forced to buy them. In addition dedicated fortune hunters get bonuses for their U:GA achievements, which is a nice perk. Defo getting this.
