30 to 50 hours long, few roads in towns.

Toki to Towa scored a 32 out of 40 in Famitsu this week. Here are the magazine’s impressions from the game, in handy bullet form:

  • Clear the game in 30 hours, over 50 hours completely.
  • The character’s are charming and the pleasant mood is nice.
  • As for the mood, preferences are likely to differ.
  • The anime character’s movements are fresh and original.
  • Consecutive battles with smaller mobs go on too long.
  • Noticed that there were few roads to explore in the towns.
  • The sense of movement in the anime was excellent.
  • Battles are fun with light tactics, but sometimes the strategic nature of it is tense.
  • It’s easy to read what attack the enemy will do and avoid it.
  • On the whole, the anime is monotonous and a bit sketchy.
  • Overall, it’s pretty decent, definitely give it a try.
  • It’s an ambitious title with the intention of challenging the graphics and system.
  • Fans of Masuda’s scenarios have to check it out.
  • You could say it’s Utopia for boys.

This game will be like Valkyria Chronicles, underrated but valuable.

    “Utopia for boys”?
    So…….full of fanservice, huh?

  • Kazziyan

“You could say it’s Utopia for boys.”

Good to know since fanservice ftw. But I’m still iffy on it in general…

  • Haku_Luvs_You

Guess I’ll find out for myself in a week. Honestly can’t wait. I hope it lives up to my expectations.

  • Hatsuaki

Yeaaaah… I was definitely expecting this game to be full of fanservice. Thankfully, a big chunk of it seems to be included in the optional DLC, so I’m alright with this. 32 out of 40 is awesome, and I was expecting it to get a lower score, but today’s stream convinced me. Can’t wait until the game gets here~…

“The sense of movement in the anime was excellent.”
hee hee, he thinks this is an anime :3

Glad to hear this. Much more hyped now~
Sounds like it’ll have more fanservice than expected though.

im excited to delve into the world of Toki to Towa :)

    man definitely buying this!!!!!!

hope someone would upload some gameplay videos :D

  • I wonder why they say the movements are so good. Personally, when I first saw gameplay footage of her running, I thought the movement was kind of clunky, honestly. She runs really… Awkward, lol.

Game has improved since that first gameplay trailer. Subsequent gameplay trailers have looked better.

      • Hmmm… Has it really changed all THAT much though? I guess I’ll give some more trailers a view later then. I won’t have enough money for it anyway right now, even if I do change my mind, but when I first saw some gameplay… Something about the game just rubbed me the wrong way.

I’ll see if my feelings about it have changed.

Liking what I hear.   Can’;t wait to play this!  Good to hear the battles can be tense.

  • zakou

I’ll be getting it day one, this is a unique game that combines anime in HD and a jrpg game, Naruto Ultimate Ninja Storm 2 and this game are like the only games that are as good or better than anime on bluray.

  • new_tradition

If there’s plenty of things that will equate this to being a boy’s utopia, they need only add some things to please the girl gamer. Some random topless dudes would go a long way ;D

And for me personally, the same topless dudes rolling around together *sighs wistfully*

    • KurisuMakise

Wrong game for us new_tradition, totally the wrong game.

    • I’m a guy here, but I agree with you. They should have content for the girl fans as well.

Then it will just be like the real world. Where else can I go for my fantasy utopia? :p

  • “On the whole, the anime is monotonous and a bit sketchy”  mmmmmmmm
