Offensive Combat, iHeartRadio app set for Ouya
U4iA Games' "cheeky, free-for-all shooting mash-up."U4iA Games has announced the first confirmed first-person shooter for Ouya. Offensive Combat, the studio’s cheeky FPS (which involves “stabbing trolls in the neck with wooden swords, shooting asshats in the face with a variety of ballistic and plasma-based weapons, and pwning the hell out of anyone who falls before us with a variety of silly little dances”), will come to the Android-based platform.
“Everyone here at U4iA Games is excited to bring our titles to Ouya,” said U4iA Games founder and CEO Dusty Welch. “Given that consoles are so expensive and face an uncertain future, Ouya stands out as the perfect example of an affordable home-entertainment platform created specifically for core gamers like us. We’ve used our profound wisdom to create a cheeky, free-for-all shooting mash-up called Offensive Combat. Moving forward, we can’t wait to bring all-new games in the Offensive Combat universe to the Ouya platform.”
Meanwhile, in the apps space, Clear Channel has confirmed it will release an HTML 5-based iHeartRadio app for Ouya. It will allow users to search and find live radio stations, and create custom stations with “unprecedented control.”
As far as potential Ouya consumers outside the U.S. go, Ouya company is “ctively reaching out to international partners as well,” and promises not to “leave you in the cold.”
Thanks, Ouya.
