Phantasy Star Online 2 Japanese release date set

Launching this Wednesday. Premium Edition in September.

Phantasy Star Online 2, Sega’s free-to-download, free-to-play massively multiplayer online game sequel, will launch in Japan on July 4 at 2:00 p.m. Japan time.

Additionally, on September 13, Sega will release a “Phantasy Star Online 2 Premium Package,” for 6,279 yen, which will include a game installation disc, (the following are all item codes) a set of five original weapons, mag evolution device, color change item, five scape dolls, FUN 1000 ticket, and boost type item set.

    I’m really worried there wont be a western release for this game. I would also like to see it announced for consoles, since it was a console franchise!

    I played the Japanese open beta some. It was really fun.

    We have to put our faith in Sega.

    I think bringing PSO 2 to the west makes a lot of sense. It even fits right into the focus on digital properties.

        It was really fun.

        It does something all sequels should do, it brings familiarity to the player. It feels like a sequel to the original PSO.

        I only touched the tip of the iceberg with it. So many new features I haven’t tried. I can only hope they localize it.
