Rumor: Quantic Dream has two more “AAA” PS3 games in development

According to Quantic concept artist resume.

Beyond: Two Souls might not be the only big game in development for PlayStation 3 at Quantic Dream.

The LinkedIn resume of Quantic Dream concept artist Florian Salomez lists work for Beyond: Two Souls, as well as “2 AAA PS3 games” that are “under NDA.”

The two titles could have something to do with the Fiv5 and Play Series trademarks discovered last year.

Well, if the next gen Playstation is announce at E3 2013 next year those two titles could be moved to the next gen Playstation.

To be honest I hope they make the jump to PS4 as soon as possible. Knowing what they are doing with Beyond, it makes me just as excited to think what they would do with PS4.

@rockman29: A AMD CPU on the PS4 will refrain me from jumping to a PS4.

  • give me kara

    OMIKRON please!!!

Not to be to critical, but I hope one or both of these games gives players more freedom and control.

Like in Beyond: Two Souls, I want to use Aiden in my own way. I don’t want his actions to be more or less scripted for me in the game. He can turn over this coffee if you press R1 here, and he can only possess these two snipers with X here.

Even if you give players a few extra choices in those situations, why not just take off the safety and let the player have that freedom?

I know that Cage likes to keep his games primarily focused on telling a story. Games are about freedom though. This is the one thing that fuels the critics who call his games interactive movies.

I still plan to pick this up, but I think what I’m suggesting would be a great next step for Quantic Dream. I think its a step that could easily move them up the ladder.

    all terrible i bet

  • As Cage himself said already, we don’t need PS4 until 2017. Really. PS3 titles for at least a few years more are fine with me. Now is the time that real innovation starts for the current generation.

And to quote a previous comment, an improved enhanced Omikron game would be very much welcome; when there’s talk of QD these days, everyone seems to remember Heavy Rain. A few even recall Fahrenheit. Nobody even mentions Omikron, which was a superb cyberpunk take at the time.

I hope that Kara turns out to be a game.

And this is exactly why Sony owns every gen no matter how the HW sales pan out.

Games people. Lest we not forget what made this hobby so great.

Well, Nathan Grayson from VG247 had his hands on time with the game at E3, and stated that while it looks beautiful, the parts where you get full control over characters and vehicles feels clunky.

I understand where Cage is coming from when he says “you should forget everything about traditional games while playing Beyond”, but I also expect the same level of quality in each part of the experience.

Anyway, it’s good to know that QD is still committed with the hardware, and I have high expectations about the other two titles. Let one of them be a new Omikron, please :)

Whoa, so much hate for Quantic Dream :x They’re one of my fav developers, seriously. I loved Fahrenheit and Heavy Rain. Actually, Heavy Rain may just be one of my favorite IPs of this generation!

If QD have a launch title for the PS4 it would be the first time I buy a console at launch. I really like QD ever since Indigo Prophecy.
