  • Another of my wanted games that does not come out on PS3. (Sighs)

  • Sal Romano

    Yeah, not going to lie. Kind of wanted Megaten 4 to be a ‘sit back on my couch and play on a huge TV’ experience.

      @Sal Romano:

      Exactly, why on earth hasnt Atlus made ANY megaten rpgs for PS3 after all these years ?

      ps2 had smt 3, persona 3,4, smt dds 1,2, smt ds 1,2

  • Malcolm Reynolds

    Christ almighty why do they keep making these games for this fliptop underpowered childrens tinker toy system I will never understand.

    I own a 3DS….but I hate buying games for it.

    didnt we talk about this? this is 5

    • FearMonkey

      @stealth20k: We did. Strange Journey was not Megaten IV so I was right. :p

  • FinalFantasy_fangirl

    Wow 3DS…. Ill get it no doubt I would prefer it on PS3

  • howardmoonish

    Awesome news! I will focus on the positive aspects of this news, like the fact that these games are getting a re-release at all. I have a 3DS, so that’s cool.

    • Sal Romano

      @howardmoonish: It’s not a re-release!

      It’s brand new!

      • howardmoonish

        @Sal Romano: ack, my bad, I got confused by Hitoshura’s hypnotic rave dancing.

  • barklight

    Great, and Persona 5 will be on Vita. The dead of home console draws near.

    • @barklight: Wrong. Consoles won’t go away. It has a bigger userbase and its more demanding than handhelds. Second, JRPGs coming to handhelds more prove nothing. They are not as high in demand as action focused titles and its has a smaller userbase and less of a risk. You still see various JRPGs on the PS3 anyway. Your foolish to think this is a clue to a end to consoles.

  • Sal Romano

    Scan added.

    Damn it are you serious :/
    Why the 3DS T^T

    I also was hoping for this to be on PS3/360.

    On the flip side, I’m sure it will be a great addition to the 3DS library.

  • hush404

    Ugh. I very much dislike that games I look forward to as console beasts instead get weak ass handheld iterations.

  • FearMonkey

    First of all, I was right, Strange Journey was not MegaTen4. All shall love me and despair.

    Second of all, why the hell is this on 3DS? WTF are they thinking? WE WANT A HIGH-DEF MEGATEN DAMMIT!!! >_<

  • gonna love more and more On My 3ds :P

    I’d like to take this chance to apologize to all the users I nagged last week or so about Strange Journey being officially SMT IV :P It was Kaneko’s official statement, but I guess in the end Atlus decided SJ was not part of the SMT main series canon (even tho it played exactly like the older entries in the series, lol)

    Anyway, I’m uber excited about this. SMT is one of my favorite rpg series, heck, one of my favorite videogame series, and it’s about time we get a proper SMT main series entry. I like Persona, Devil Survivor and whatanot, but nothing comes close to the main series. Nothing.

    I’m super ready for this, bring it on Atlus.
