The Metal Gear Solid HD Collection will release for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 on November 8, 2011 in North America and on February 3, 2012 in Europe, Konami has announced.
The collection brings together Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty, Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater, and Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker, remastered in high-definition. Non-tampered versions of series’ origins, Metal Gear and Metal Gear 2: Solid Snake, originally released for MSX over 20 years ago, will also be included.
A limited edition of the collection was announced late last month. For $79.99, it includes a copy of the game, special packaging, and a 248-page artbook.
Note: This story was originally posted at 8:46 a.m. eastern, claiming the Metal Gear Solid HD Collection release date was set for February 3 in North America. As it turns out, the date was from the Euro press release, which [for some reason] doesn’t specifically mention Europe–and has the date in North American format–which is why I originally mistook it for a North American date. Konami U.S. just sent out a press release with the North American date, so we’ve updated and upped the post to suit.
