The latest issue of Dengeki PlayStation revealed two small, new Tales of Xillia features.
The game offers a quick save feature for times when you need to save, but aren’t near a save point. You can save in a single slot and pick up and play where you left off later on.
Xillia also has a location warp feature. Once you’ve obtained a world map, you can press R3 to pull out the map and can then easily warp to a previously visited location.
The warp feature might come in handy. Dengeki editors were able to play the game in advance. One editor got through 29 hours of the game, so far, choosing Jude as his main character. He praised the scale of the world and the game’s solid tempo, and said that character settings and development are a high for the series.
Tales of Xillia will launch for PlayStation 3 on September 8, 2011 in Japan. A western release has not been announced.
