Dead Block dated for July

Dead Block, Candygun Games’ upcoming zombie defense game, will launch on Xbox LIVE Arcade and PlayStation Network next month. The Xbox LIVE version will debut first on July 6, followed by the PlayStation Network version on July 20.

Described as “engaging, campy and humor-filled,” the game is set in the 1950s, a time when gas prices were cheap and rock-n-roll was making its first appearance. In Dead Block, the music genre’s birth “caused an apocalyptic musical plague to turn the deceased into the walking dead!” As one of three survivors, “players will fortify their area by boarding up windows and setting a variety of unique unlockable traps, collect items and power-ups, take on zombies one-on-many with a variety of upgradeable weapons, and even rock them to shreds with awesome guitar power!”

A new ‘Zombie Elimination’ trailer was released. See it below:

Dead Block will launch for 800 Microsoft Points / $9.99.
