Sony: PlayStation Store will not reopen today

The PlayStation Store will not reopen today. SCEA Social Media Manager Jeff Rubenstein has said on the PlayStation.Blog that “contrary to reports, the Store will not be publishing today.” The firm said they’re “still targeting restoration of all services by the end of this month.”

The “reports” mentioned by Rubenstein are those published last week, in which Gamasutra obtained a memo sent out by Sony to developers with the relaunch date and publishing schedule of the PlayStation Store.

In other news, PlayStation Network will undergo maintenance from 8am to 5pm Pacific time today. It will only affect account management and registration, which will be down during the time frame. Online play will be left unhindered.
