Sega development studio The Creative Assembly, the team behind PC‘s Total War Shogun 2, is working on a new console game based around the Aliens IP.
Oddly enough, Ed Vaizey, the British Minister for Culture, Communications and Creative Industries, first outed the news on Twitter. It was followed up by an update on The Creative Assembly’s website where they, themselves confirm it.
“New team. New console project. Alien IP. Now hiring,” reads the site.
The publisher had a formal unveiling at a press event in Horsham, West Sussex this morning, where it said it’s hiring for its Aliens “console core game,” according to Eurogamer.
Don’t expect a media blast too soon, though. Though it’s already in development, they’re still looking for staff to work on the project. The game will not be shown off at E3 next month.
