Capcom Japan trademarks Ixion Saga

Dragon’s Dogma isn’t Capcom’s only new IP. After its reveal at Captivate 2011, Capcom said they have “at least one more” new IP planned for 2012. A new trademark from the publisher might’ve outed its name.

Capcom Japan trademarked Ixion Saga, recently. It also registered the domain Ixion-Saga.com, which currently turns up a blank page.

Ixion, for those who may not know, is a character of Greek mythology who killed his father-in-law and was branded an outlaw for murder. After Zeus invited him to Olympus strictly out of pity, he made a go for his wife. As punishment, Zeus sentenced him to burn on a fiery wheel for all of eternity.

The classic story sounds intriguing enough. Hopefully Capcom sticks to the source material.
