Guess what!? We’re planning something big for this site, but before it happens, we want to hear your thoughts on us, first. We have a few basic questions we’d like to ask, that you could hopefully answer for us with detailed responses.

  • Why do you visit this site?
  • What do you like and dislike the most about this site?
  • What type of content would you be most interested in seeing on this site in the coming future?
  • What type of new features (as in, user functionality) would you be most interested in seeing?
  • How would you stack us up against bigger gaming blogs like Kotaku, Destructoid and JoyStiq?
  • Are there any other comments you’d like to add or conflicts you’d like to address?

As for that  “something big,” it should be happening within the coming weeks. Wait patiently on that. We’re asking you what you’d like to see now so we can hopefully implement that when this big thing happens.

Thank you!

  • “Why do you visit this site?”

since you guys get the news early, not to mention most gaming sites like gametrailers and such that hosts japanese news games are reference here.

and i like the layout, so simple yet so clean but mostly about news gaming news in japan even though you also provide western games here :)

“What do you like and dislike the most about this site?”

i like the site because almost no trolls here, and the discussions are more mature than most gaming sites. shame we need more people here :D

and you get to upload leak gameplay videos like Versus XIII and such ^^

the only thing i don’t liike is the forums, because they rarely have any activity. it’s not the site’s fault though. we just need more users ^^

What type of content would you be most interested in seeing on this site in the coming future?

as i said earlier, mainly release on Japanese game. not to mention you link scans from famitsu and such, and you also follow twitter updates by developers like Tetsuya Nomura and Hideo Kojima.

hmm i also think adding a PSP or DS section would be nice since there already coming up with the 3DS and PSP2. not to mention most jrpg are being release there ^^

oh and more beta codes would be nice :D

What type of new features (as in, user functionality) would you be most interested in seeing?

i guess probably a custom profile settings. i think having a own user page with background wallpaper would be nice but it’s not a necessity.

How would you stack us up against bigger gaming blogs like Kotaku, Destructoid and JoyStiq?

better than kotaku obviously. since destructoid and joystiq have a similar layout and such. but joystiq provide great video quality and destructoid mostly provides troll articles(at least most of the time Jim is doing it)

i would rank you higher than the three since you provide more interesting articles(i stil remember one of the first thing i read on this site is the announcement of No More Heroes Paradise. i was blown away O_O)

Are there any other comments you’d like to add or conflicts you’d like to address?

Good Work Sal and to all of the members of this site :)
hopefully this site get’s more exposure in the future.

    • Falsate

      1. Primarily for the feed and its versatility (offers community discussions and such). The community is a warming bonus.

2A. Like: The Feed is straightforward and paramount instead of having loads of bulk before it. Small, yet robust community.

2B. Dislike: Limited User Functionality and Add-Ons.

      3. Some type of ‘sync’ with Andriasang. Yes, chances are awfully low.

      4. Leveling/Award system (as in participation and contributions be it in News or Discussions).

      Scrawl Magazine. End.

      5. I have nothing to say about Kotaku and Destructoid since I don’t use them. I’ll say this: Sites attempting to provoke one side of a particular fan-base for attention is not interesting. (see: Initial source for ‘Versus XIII Job Listing’).

      6. PS3/360 only. Digital Magazine.

  • Rank: Excellent *5 Stars

He had a lot of similar things to say haha.

  • can’t wait for the upcoming update though ^^

1- Why do you visit this site?

scrawlfx is a good source for video game information.
    The design is great

2- What do you like and dislike the most about this site?

I like the design and the ergonomic of the site.

3- What type of content would you be most interested in seeing on this site in the coming future?

    Don’t know

4- What type of new features (as in, user functionality) would you be most interested in seeing?

    Don’t know

5- How would you stack us up against bigger gaming blogs like Kotaku, Destructoid and JoyStiq?

No need to compare you are part of the gaming landscape

6- Are there any other comments you’d like to add or conflicts you’d like to address?

    NO

  • sll1cool1m

I’d also rank the site as Excellent.

Prince pretty much said everything, but theres something I’d like to add.

Actually I like this site, BECAUSE here are not so many users.
When a site becomes too popular, it happens the typical mainstream bullshit.
Many users join, Trolls join afterwards, People start flaming, Discussions are hold on a immature level and so on.
So I like this site as it is now.
Anyways, good job and keep up the good work ! =)

  • * Why do you visit this site?

I just found the site one day whilst looking for new or different gaming news sites – and instantly liked what I saw. It was nice, clean and had good quality news and friendly community. I have never turned back since and visit the site every day.

    * What do you like and dislike the most about this site?

I love the community on the site; it generally has very high quality comments and discussions and excellent staff. The news is consistent, well written and genuine, sometimes with a personal touch and always with a feeling of genuine enthuisasm.

There is nothing I dislike about the site!

    * What type of content would you be most interested in seeing on this site in the coming future?

Honestly I think the level of coverage is excellent as it is, though as echoed above a bit of handheld coverage would not go amiss, with the release of the 3DS coming very soon.

Other than that though, I like the coverage of 360 and PS3 games with a nice focus on just the sort of titles I am interested in.

I do not know if this is considered coverge or features, but I am also really enjoying the ‘Discussionist’ and similar features on the site which encourage high quality debate on a variety of industry topics. Anyting such as this is sure to be both interesting and generate interest and activity on the site.

    * What type of new features (as in, user functionality) would you be most interested in seeing?

Hmm, though I personally am happy with just a username and Avatar, some users might enjoy things such as a customised homepage, perhaps with the ability to “favourite” articles for easy finding or something such as that. I realise though that this may not be possible and honestly, for me anyway, the simple ability to contribute in the comments is more than enough. (interesting to see what other uses think of this)

    * How would you stack us up against bigger gaming blogs like Kotaku, Destructoid and JoyStiq?

Well, SCRAWL is my personal favourite gaming news site of all of them! From the 3 on the list, I would definately rank you far above the likes of Kotaku and similar ilk. This site is not only more friendly, but contains more stories I am personally interested in and you can always find an honest opinion. I have not visited the likes of Kotaku or the british CVG (which I used to use a lot before I found SCRAWL) very much at all. Obviously such sites have far greater exposure and userbases, though this does not equal quality.

    * Are there any other comments you’d like to add or conflicts you’d like to address?

Just as usual, a big thank you to Sal, Adam and everyone else at the site for the brilliant work and tireless dedication! I have been a member quite a while now and truly enjoy watching the site grow. Keep it up!

    • * EDIT – Something I just thought of after butchering my spelling on another story – I think a comment edit button would be a brilliant new feature. It’s not essential of course but being able to edit or add to your comment without replying to it (like this) could help neaten up some longer comments etc. Just a thought.

    • Ohhhhh yeah a edit button would be great adition.

  • Jrukia

Why do you visit this site?

I visit this site because it gives me my info quick, i dont have to go serching around the site looking for it, and it’s relative.

What do you like and dislike the most about this site?

The site gives me information quick.
Sometimes… and i mean sometimes…. It’s a little late on the Draw with some news.

What type of content would you be most interested in seeing on this site in the coming future?

Videos of you testing out games, and giving them reviews.

What type of new features (as in, user functionality) would you be most interested in seeing?

Pools. like on Gamefaqs. Where we vote on stuff.

How would you stack us up against bigger gaming blogs like Kotaku, Destructoid and JoyStiq?

This is the first site i check when i get on the Cpu. I think this is a much better site.

Are there any other comments you’d like to add or conflicts you’d like to address?

    Nope.

  • Jrukia

    5 stars

  • Chainermike

Why do you visit this site:
good variety of gaming news including both Japan and Western.

What do you like and dislike the most about this site:
nice simple design and the detailed but to the point articles. As for dislikes, all i can think of is the lack of rss aside from the twitter feed.

What type of content would you be most interested in seeing on this site in the coming future:
As a PC gamer I wouldn’t mind some PC game news every now and then, perhaps Wii stuff as well even though i don’t have one(yet).

What type of new features (as in, user functionality) would you be most interested in seeing:
can’t think of anything really, maybe site theme changes? kind of a bit undertaking though.

How would you stack us up against bigger gaming blogs like Kotaku, Destructoid and JoyStiq?
As someone that frequents Joystiq i can say that all they really outdo this site on is number of articles due to multiple editors, also they seem to have a flame war over almost every article. >.>

Are there any other comments you’d like to add or conflicts you’d like to address:
Nop, that about does it. Good luck with the update, can’t wait to see it.

  • TheronGuard00

    * Why do you visit this site?
Theron visits this site because Scrawlfx is fantastic at constant updating. Other sites will release one or two articles a day then be done. I can always count on Scrawl if I’d really just like to read something new in the gaming world.
    * What do you like and dislike the most about this site?
I like most about this site the content they (Sal) believes is important to actually post. Go to joystiq, kotaku, or many other well known gaming sites. Half of their content is boring articles about ‘Black Ops Sunglasses’. Thing that just aren’t relevant to a gamer all about the games. You’ll never see an article on this site just to put something out there. The big dislike I have about this site is it’s community :p…just a small group of us from GT comment and come here regularly I feel like. Obviously this is due to being a new site. Secondly, I don’t like the site you’re going through. Makes things like uploading even an avatar a hassle.
    * What type of content would you be most interested in seeing on this site in the coming future?
Honestly, Just keep doing what you’re doing. As long as the content is relevant to the games being developed and farther from stupid articles about numbers and gaming toys. Maybe add these next generation handhelds!? 3DS and PSP2 will have a ton of great content to write about, and it will have a lot of that RPG content I’m pretty sure all of us regulars on this site love.
    * What type of new features (as in, user functionality) would you be most interested in seeing?
Basically just re doing the whole Scrawlfx user functionality :/ it’s kind of a big crutch. I’m talking doing a much more involved forum set up and user profile system. That might be a little much though..idk
    * How would you stack us up against bigger gaming blogs like Kotaku, Destructoid and JoyStiq?
If you read my first comment…I have been using this site for two years maybe. I remember when there were NO comments. However, Sal..you have done a FANTASTIC job. This site is great and the content is what matters. I think Scrawlfx is better than Kotaku, Destructoid, AND Joystiq content wise.
    * Are there any other comments you’d like to add or conflicts you’d like to address?

    Great job Mate. 5 stars.

  • Why do you visit this site?
Becasuse Scrawl put special interest on rpgs and adventures games (my favorites generes) besides that i like the style of the page, colors, edition and velocity.

What do you like and dislike the most about this site?
Well i like almost everything like i said above, the focus only on hd consoles makes the side very unique, and its perfect because im not interest on portables consoles or wii. Dislike……maybe the fact that ………..well man i dont know i really like the site like it is right now please dont make drastic changes…….please!

What type of content would you be most interested in seeing on this site in the coming future?
Well… interviews, news (spetially of RPGs, OMG i cant put down Fallout New Vegas, even with all the bugs), and PS3.

What type of new features (as in, user functionality) would you be most interested in seeing?
Really….i dont know i like this site because is simple and direct, im not really interested in complicated things, so just surprise me (in a good way).

How would you stack us up against bigger gaming blogs like Kotaku, Destructoid and JoyStiq?
Wow i still visit Kotaku and vgchatz, but i love this site because all i said above, a simple website with hdconsoles content only and special interest on rpgs.

Are there any other comments you’d like to add or conflicts you’d like to address?
Judt keep the good work, love u scrawl!!!!!!

  • Mr Mad Monkey

•Why do you visit this site?
Up to the minute information, articles are summed up nicely but not lacking in information which lets me know what’s going on in just a click or two without a big hassle or tons of skimming pages of worthless information inbetween what I actually care about. Other sites I’ve trusted to keep me up to date in the past just haven’t got the job done the way Scrawl does – the updates during E3 were particularly impressive.

•What do you like and dislike the most about this site?
I like how there’s 15 articles per page on The Feed. I can just quickly scroll down and see what’s new without going through a bunch of nearly empty pages – it’s very accessible information that allows me to jump from one article to the next without having a bunch of windows open. The layout is absolutely wonderful and the site as a whole is easy on the eyes, too. There isn’t much I dislike, and what there is will be mentioned in the next questions.

•What type of content would you be most interested in seeing on this site in the coming future?
I would love to see information on Nintendo. Thinking back, I’m not sure I’ve seen anything at all going on with Nintendo from Scrawl, though I could be wrong. :/ I might’ve seen a few Wii titles mentioned here and there.

•What type of new features (as in, user functionality) would you be most interested in seeing?
Everything Theron said sums up my feelings on this question. I’d like to bring up the avatar problem he mentioned in another answer, too – it’s a rather big pain considering what a simple thing it is. There’s got to be something that can be done about that.

•How would you stack us up against bigger gaming blogs like Kotaku, Destructoid and JoyStiq?
I prefer Scrawl over all else, period.

•Are there any other comments you’d like to add or conflicts you’d like to address?
    SAL ROCKS.
    WOO!

    • TheronGuard00

You’re correct, you haven’t seen any Nintendo based information. Scrawlfx is strictly PS3/XBOX360 designed. So let’s push for that.

  • zakou

It would be nice if you had a lvl up system or something like that xD

But i visit your site cause it has nice design and nice news, kotaku can go f*** themselves since mostly they are or used to be really anti ps3 and sometimes post bullshit.

You are good so keep it up, oh and if you need mods or your forums or anything, PM me since i have alot of free time and could help you.

    • TheronGuard00

Agreed. Sal if you need any help with forums, writers, or basically anything you can contact me at [email protected]. I’d love to be apart of the Scrawl team.

    • Levels sound interesting, it’s something many sites are doing and even fits into a gaming theme in a roundabout sort of way. The main challenge would be how to designate “levels” – I was once a member of a forum where people simply posted silly or off topic comments to boost their level which counted postcount. That said, I definately have faith in this sites community to not do that sort of thing.

But user levels definately sound fun and interesting. And I agree with the extra help, I’m sure many users myself included would be more than willing to lend our time to helping the site if ever needed.

I never noticed Kotaku’s Anti-PS3 bias btw…I possibly was just never paying attention and as I said in my original comment, I haven’t really visited it in ages, but I always saw them as opposite to that if anything. Heh!

  • Falsate

6B. We don’t bullshit here. Have to love that part about this site.

  • o41791

lmfao so funny that yu named those other blog site because including scrawl those the the other main three i follow on a daily basis but stacked up against them no doubt they are bigger sites than scrawl but you still beat them to news at times and even have news they dont so thats y i always check scrawl alongside wif those sites regularly. rite now tho i like how scrawl looks, the simple look but personally i think it could use colour like maybe go back to ur blue theme? i dont realli use the site other than to read news so i cant give you ne feedback on how to make it better. im just mainly interested in ALL news related to ps3. oh heres one thing i dont like about scrawl, is how yu set it up to view pictures i’d like to be able to see all the thumbnails of the pictures and open it in a newtab to view as a big picture.

  • AdamBoy64

    – Why do you visit this site?

Gaming news and views and a website where I feel I can easily express my opinion with others. It’s not unnecessarily complicated. Or even complicated at all.

    – What do you like and dislike most about this site?

I like how the site focuses on PS3/360 games. You don’t cover as much as other sites – but it’s thorough. And because of how you’ve personalised it, and things like feature articles – it really does a feel a bit like a community. That’s what I appreciate about the site. And why I prefer it to the ‘bigger’ sites.

I think it’s fine you haven’t covered the Nintendo side of things. I go to another site that have the Nintendo side covered well. I’ve always seen that as a delibrate choice of site focus, rather than you being anti-nintendo.

And with so much news content out there on gaming, you need to have a set focus. And because you do, that’s why I think this is a great site.

I also get the impression that you care about your users, as you get in and comment alongside us.

    – What type of content would you be most interested in seeing on this site in the coming future?

For stuff to cover, you might find you want to jump on the PSP bandwagon – I really wouldn’t mind either way. I think you should only cover something if you can put in the same attention to detail as you do everything else.

More feature articles.. lolz.. love them.

    – What type of new features (as in, user functionality) would you be most interested in seeing?

You might be able to find a way to make the site even more active with users – give them the chance to write their own reviews or something. Not sure if that would work, but it’s the only other possible addition I can think of.

    – How would you stack us up against bigger gaming blogs like Kotaku, Destructoid and JoyStiq?

As said previous, I like this site how it is a lot more focused than other sites – and I feel the emphasis more on the user community. I actually feel like i’m a part of it. Something I appreciate a lot.

  • FAUNA

I like the simple design aesthetic & grey backdrop (WITH MINIMAL ADVERTISING, THE LESS THE BETTER). You also don’t use the ads that expand over the screen, which is very good. I also love how you guys don’t make jokes/funny comments about everything (unlike lame sites like GAMEINFORMER)…

  • FAUNA

SCRAWL is my favorite gaming site. Don’t change a thing (maybe even less ads, which you are already very minimal about)…

  • Eric

One thing that I hope I never see is ads in videos. I am one who understands needing revenue and whatnot, but that is one of the worst things that Ive seen sites like Destructoid and PSLS do. I cant stand it and makes me not want to visit the site knowing I have to sit through ads before I can see what I want. This isnt tv, its the internet. Text ads and banners arent the end of the world if they dont impede on the site and make it annoying to read and get in the way, but video ads I draw the line at seeing as you dont have a choice. My point in all this, is dont go that way if you dont want to be like them.

  • So what I’m generally getting here is:

    – We’re too sexy for our shirts.
    – Some sort of user profile system – including level-ups and such.
    – Emphasis on community.
    – Keep it going with the features/columns.
    – Video content – perhaps direct-feed footage of us playing games.
    – Keep ads minimal and out of video (sorry, Fauna, we can’t put less ads than there already are) (and we use YouTube, so don’t expect an ad in a video, ever).
    – Simplistic design.
    – Edit button for comments.

We’re also thinking of starting up a podcast, if anybody would be interested in that.

    • TheronGuard00

      Lovin it.

  • Eric

Emphasis on community is always a plus as its been mentioned. The blog function on Dtoid is one unique feature that they have that I do enjoy although I have grown unfond of the type of community they have developed and their attitude overall.

  • Falsate

Yep. I like a website that can make you feel like you own something or contributed. That’s why the Award/Contribution/Leveling system would be awesome and help with User Profile Systems.

Like a Four Square (if you’ve heard of that app) system.

  • Faize RoughKnightz

Why do you visit this site?

For the content it has on JRPG games and other japanese gaming news(e.g. Tales, Final Fantasy).

What type of content would you be most interested in seeing on this site in the coming future?

I’d like to see more content on the PSP because it has a large list of JRPGs. It would be pretty cool if you had a PSP section too.

    • MrSound

      I’m totally agree with you.

      Scrawl rocks!!!!!

  • whiteferrero

I just visit because of the fast and relevant news.
I like the game design seminar too.

As for as improvements go, I did find the search function coming up with less than relevant results. Maybe it should be improved.

  • * Why do you visit this site?

For it’s tone of voice and the fact that you generally have the best gaming images anywhere, as well as a swaying towards Japanese games in general (YAY). This is important for me as I get really frustrated with the generally small size of screenshots on most sites but you never disappoint, it’s actually the main reason I came here originally, I stayed as the articles are smart and you focus on certain games few other sites do (and provide excellent artwork from said games). Oh, and you don’t have any nasty big watermarks on your images either, I’ve made quite a few awesome wallpapers for my monitor thanks to you people. ;)
And your gallery is epic, you put the ‘big boys’ to shame, seriously.

    * What do you like and dislike the most about this site?
    &
    * How would you stack us up against bigger gaming blogs like Kotaku, Destructoid and JoyStiq?

I like the writing style and the general ‘feel’ of the site, clean and light. And I quite like that you guys are a bit smaller actually, as others have said I think it helps the focus and community aspect.
Joystiq might be huge but it feels a bit bloated as a consequence, and Kotaku is a mess, really. They feature some cool stuff, but the community there are amazingly bitchy and judgmental (though Joystiq are often just as bad if not worse), and the site design is… well, I get headaches if I browse that site for too long, really.
Frankly, I personally think of Siliconera as the closest thing you have to an actual rival, and I still prefer it here, though I do like their style also.

    * What type of content would you be most interested in seeing on this site in the coming future?

Hmm… more DLC reviews? Not enough sites focus on that, and considering the price of some of them (SEVEN pounds for a new track!?!? Seriously…) it would be nice to get a lowdown on what you think of said content. Of course there’s always sites like RunDLC, but even they don’t get around to reviewing everything. I’d really like an opinion on the latest DLC for Split/Second, for example (UK PSN).

    * What type of new features (as in, user functionality) would you be most interested in seeing?

Edit feature would be cool, if only to remove/fix typos. Man I hate them (in my own posts I mean). I’m an imperfect perfectionist, what can I say…

    * Are there any other comments you’d like to add or conflicts you’d like to address?

Not sure I like the whole leveling idea being touted by some, I mean, really, I’m not interested in anyone’s ‘level’, I don’t care how long you’ve been on the site or even how long you’ve been gaming (no offense), if you’ve got something to say that I can learn from or be intrigued by, I’ll listen/read, first post or one-hundredth post, I could care less. And if I don’t want to read it, I simply won’t, the end.

But then, I’m probably in the minority on that front, and I do appreciate the more positive aspects of such a system. Rewards etc. I just feel no need for them personally.

Also, I’d just like to say thanks for creating this site, it ‘does the job’ and does it well. ^_^
Oh, a special thanks for the recent Malicious screens and artwork, that game looks amazing.

    • We take great pride in our screenshot gallery.

      Watermarks blow.

  • Kkdog4Sado

Why do you visit this site?
I visit Scrawl because it usually have the most accurate info in the gaming scene sometimes, it’s prompt updates and good staff is awesome. Plus we have alike tastes in games lol.

What do you like and dislike the most about this site?
As I said before, this site is pretty much perfect. If we could just spruce up the community section and get members and readers more involved with the site, that would be great.

What type of content would you be most interested in seeing on this
    site in the coming future?
Updated member features and better community, that’s just about the only thing really holding Scrawl back.

What type of new features (as in, user functionality) would you be most interested in seeing?
More detailed profiles, better forum support and just an overall community overhaul. Private messaging and all.

How would you stack us up against bigger gaming blogs like Kotaku, Destructoid and JoyStiq?
I personally like Scrawl better, it’s simple yet informative approach copes well with me, besides, Sal is a true Megaman Legends fan, can’t get any better than that.

Are there any other comments you’d like to add or conflicts you’d like to address?

I would just like you to make and exception for Megaman Legends 3 Sal, I understand it’s 3ds news, but It really bothers me having to search for another source for Legends 3 new, plus it’s frickin Legends 3!!

Other than that, I love this site, and I also hope one day I can become part of it internally, that’s how much I appreciate you guys hard work. I check here everyday and I’m pretty sure it’s going to stay that way, keep it up guys. I can’t wait!

  • Kkdog4Sado

Yes I totally forgot, videos of you guys playing and reviewing the games would be pretty awesome, I’m all for that idea.

Random speculations and other different vids would be sweet too.

  • [[ Why do you visit this site? ]]
It’s a reliable game new site, really~ One of the few I follow, and look forward to news from! Strangely, I like some of the same games you seem to like too, Sal. So I’m excited for most anything here.
[[ What do you like and dislike the most about this site? ]]
LIKE: The layout is clean and easy to navigate~ The writing is excellent and mature, and so are the discussions here. I like the lack of trolls, like what PrinceHeir said.
DISLIKE: I want more activity in the forums too~ I guess it’s just that I’m not used to perhaps this kind of format for a forum, but still, I think more people would help!
[[ What type of content would you be most interested in seeing on this site in the coming future? ]]
I’d have to opt for that video option from you guys~ Playthroughs are nice. Also, speculation threads could help in the activity too! Other consoles of note could be nice. If you happen to need help on certain fandoms, it seems some users here are fairly knowledgeable in their own places~ We just need to get that community forum going!
[[ What type of new features (as in, user functionality) would you be most interested in seeing? ]]
User profiles and customizability? Maybe. Like ability the skin of the site? That would be interesting.
[[ How would you stack us up against bigger gaming blogs like Kotaku, Destructoid and JoyStiq? ]]
I generally don’t compare, but I say this site is good. It’s smaller, sure, but some of the communities there are kind of a mess at times. I like this place. It’s like a balcony overlooking a nice landscape, compared to the hustle and bustle of the game “cities”.
[[ Are there any other comments you’d like to add or conflicts you’d like to address? ]]
Nothing much coming to mind really. I’ll add more when I can~ Pardon me for being such a lurker XD

Why did it take me so long to see this? Well, most everything I had to say has been said. So I will agree with the above comments. I personally like to visit scrawl because the site covers gaming new that I find important. Also, the site doesn’t lag, because it isn’t loaded with images that are ridiculous files sizes and lag the entire site every time you try and go to it.

Keep up the good work, I’ll keep reading and posting my random comments every once in a while. :P

likes: plain clean layout. does not really take that long for the page to load. unlike.. *insert website* hehe
dislikes: nothing really. i only check updates thats why. i rarely participate on discussions and whatsoever.

What type of content would you be most interested in seeing on this site in the coming future?
hmm, most probably, release of japanese games. whole bunch of updates on localizations and stuff.

What type of new features (as in, user functionality) would you be most interested in seeing?
i aint really that picky. having mentioned also that, i only visit the site for updates, im pretty much happy with what im reading and browsing on your page atm.

How would you stack us up against bigger gaming blogs like Kotaku, Destructoid and JoyStiq?
i might say that, scrawl and kotaku, kotaku australia that is, have almost quite the same page layout. pretty neat and simple. dunno about destructoid nor joystiq. its only now that ive heard of those two.

Are there any other comments you’d like to add or conflicts you’d like to address?

There’s really nothing I can say that hasn’t already been said. Your content is up-to-date and focused on what “true” gamers care about.

I’m not sure if you plan on covering other things like movies or classic games but whatever your plans are just make sure it’s good. Don’t do something just to keep up with the big boys. Do you. And whatever you add to the site make sure you do it well. Don’t branch out unless you really have the infrastructure to do it.

This site has been my first stop on the web everyday and I check it several times a day. I’ve been a regular for years (I was named commenter of the year once) but I come because I know the content is free of spin or BS.

There’s very little if anything that would stop me from coming back. I’m a lifelong fan.

I have all the faith that whatever you add/change will be awesome.

Simply – a great, unbiased site. No stupid flame wars in comments. No PS3vsX360 trash. Just info in a clear and neat edition.

And about stacking the site up – i don’t visit sites like destructoid anymore. Fanboys writing articles, flaming comments etc. – no thanks. I’d rather check my news here.
