After yesterday’s Konami conference, a great amount of new details and screenshots have come out for Metal Gear Solid: Rising.
Metal Gear Solid: Rising takes place between Metal Gear Solid 2 and Metal Gear Solid 4. Raiden has become similar to a cyborg where he can gather energy from his fallen foes. Not ony can you take life, but you can take parts, ammo, items, and at times information from them, as well.
Raiden’s sword allows players to cut anything they choose, not only enemies. Players can cut buildings, objects, watermelons, the list goes on. Players can use the sword to create new weapons. Slice a pillar – for example – and use the sharp end as a weapon against your foes.
Raiden’s sword is not his only weapon. Additionally, there will be other sub-weapons that Raiden can utilize.
When fighting human enemies, players can decide to either kill them with the katana or use the sword to carve another path into the stage and kindly spare his life.
