Premium PlayStation Network details “very soon”, says SCEE President
Sony Computer Entertainment Europe president Andrew House has said that information on Sony’s premium PlayStation Network service is coming “very soon” and that it “current PSN as you know it will remain a free service.”
“I can assure you that the current PSN as you know it will remain a free service,” House told PlayStation UK in a community-based interview. “It is something that our competitors don’t offer and something that shows our loyalty to the PlayStation Community. However, Kaz Hirai stated a few months ago that we were looking at a premium service to sit alongside the current free service and that objective has not changed. You’ll learn more about it very soon.”
As for cross-game voice chat, House seems to hint at the reveal coming at the same time as the premium PlayStation Network reveal.
“We know that cross-game chat is something that the community wants and hopefully we will have an answer for you very soon.”
The man mentions “very soon” twice. E3 is “very soon”, isn’t it? E3 reveal confirmed? I mean it was obvious, but these hints are always nice.
Earlier today, rumors sprang about the service being called PSN+. A list of supposed features were provided as well.
