Shocking: Xbox 360 Outsells PS3 in Japan This Week

We already know Xbox 360’s have been getting sold-out in Japan due to demand for Namco Bandai’s recently released in Japan, Tales of Vesperia (which I’m wanting just as badly right about now), but we didn’t know this. The Japanese went western this week, buying a non-Japanese console and letting it outsell all the Japanese consoles. Let’s take a look.

Nintendo Wii – 38,506
Xbox 360 – 24,962
PlayStation 3 – 9,673
PlayStation 2 – 8,503
Nintendo DS – 60,434
PSP – 58,501

Microsoft have really been pushing their RPG line in Japan, and with games like Star Ocean: The Last Hope and Infinite Undiscovery on the way, this may continue.
