The western release of Anarchy Reigns has been delayed by publisher Sega, according to a post on developer Platinum Games’ website.

According to the post, the release date, which was set for July 3 in North America and July 6 in Europe, has now been changed to “TBC” (to be confirmed) by the publisher.

“While our work on the game is finished, localized, and ready to go,” the post said, “as publisher, SEGA gets to make the final decision as to when it is released. The Japanese release date, however, remains unchanged for July 5, 2012.”

A video is also included in the post, in which it is said that Sega still intends for the game to see a western release in July, and that the Japanese version of the game will include every available language, if you wish to import.

European retail websites, such as Amazon and Play, still list the game’s original release date.

Thanks, Eurogamer.

Sega is bringing its Dreamcast classic Jet Set Radio to PlayStation Vita. The high-definition upgrade has already been announced for PlayStation Network, Xbox LIVE Arcade, and PC.

The PS Vita version will utilize the system’s touch functionality for spraying graffiti and integrate its built-in camera for unannounced purposes. According to Sega, the platform “is a handheld version that loses nothing in the way of content or experience” when compared to its console and PC counterparts.

“The fan reaction to our recent reveal of Jet Set Radio has been incredible!” said Haruki Satomi, Senior Vice President of Digital Business at Sega. “As Jet Set Radio is focused on creativity, the touch capabilities of the PlayStation Vita are proving to be a perfect fit.”

Jet Set Radio for PlayStation Vita will be playable for the first time at E3 next month. View the first set of screenshots at the gallery.

Update: Apologies, all. This schedule is not referring to Atlus. It is referring to a company called “Atlas” which we mistook as a misspelling for “Atlus” (it’s happened before). The studios’ Nich Maragos has confirmed this.

Original: Atlus is readying a new game announcement for the London MCM Expo. According to the schedule, on Saturday, May 26 at 3:00 p.m. BST, Atlus will make an exclusive new announcement.

The schedule doesn’t mention whether it’s Atlus Japan or Atlus U.S.A. making the announcement. Atlus doesn’t have a European branch, so I can’t see an Atlus U.S.A. localization announcement happening. Nor would I picture Atlus Japan announcing a new game at a London comic expo. It’s possible Atlus U.S.A. is teaming up with a European publisher, such as Ghostlight, to announce a European localization of one of their Japanese games.

Stay tuned. The wait is only two days.

Thanks, 3DSTribe.

The latest contestants to join Dead or Alive 5 are Lei Fang and Zack, both who first debuted in the original Dead or Alive in 1996.

Lei Fang, or “The Tai Chi Quan Genius,” is a master of the art of T’ai Chi Quan. She is a woman of justice and independence, but is also spunky, intelligent and cheerful. She aims to defeat Jann Lee, who once saved her from harm. Her attacks, such “Sabaki” and “Inashi,” use her opponents’ power against them.

Zack, or “The Crazy Climber,” is a DJ with a funky attitude and an original style. He joined the Dead or Alive tournament for the money and fame. He taught himself Muay Thai by imitation, and has incredible fighting instincts.

Watch a trailer feature Lei and Zack below. View screenshots at the gallery.
