City Shrouded in Shadow details Special Vehicles Section 2 Labor “Ingram” Unit 1 scenario

Bandai Namco and Granzella have released new information and screenshots of City Shrouded in Shadow, detailing the game’s latest confirmed giant shadow scenario starring Patlabor‘s Special Vehicles Section 2 Labor “Ingram” Unit 1.

■ New Giant Shadows: Special Vehicles Section 2 Labors

Special Vehicles Section 2 scramble! “Ingram” Unit 1 rushes to save lives in a skyscraper!

Labor crime broke out by way of suspicious men acting in the shadows. The skyscraper was in danger. Fire emergency Labors were dispatched, but a number of people were left behind. When danger approached the protagonist and company, the Special Vehicles Section 2 Labor “Ingram” Unit 1 broke through the glass and appeared before them.

Together with Miho Yamamura, a little girl they meet in the skyscraper, the protagonist and heroine are rescued by “Ingram” Unit 1.

—In order to suppress the crimes being committed by Labors, the Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department Special Vehicles Section 2 rolls out.

—Military Labor “Grau-Bear.”

—Fire Emergency Labor “Pyro-Buster.”

Developed and disseminated for work-related use, Labor crime has surged as a result.

On the truss of the skyscraper, the Military Labor “Grau-Bear,” controlled by a suspicious person, runs rampant.

For that reason, the skyscraper was in danger. In order to contain the damage, the Fire Emergency Labor “Pyro-Buster” began relief activity in various places.

■ Characters

Ryouji Shibata (voiced by Minoru Kawai)

A suited man who takes aim at the protagonist’s life. At first glance, he looks like a salaryman, but the glint in his eye has traces of a man who has gotten around scenes of carnage in the underside of society. He is an always cruel, unimpassioned man. The protagonist witnesses the scene of a secret transaction he is making, which leads him to take aim at his life.

Katsuhiro Mudou (voiced by Toru Nara)

A suited man who takes aim at the protagonist’s life. Shibata’s subordinate. Formerly a boxer, he is a violent man always looking for a fight. He is not very good at using his head. He has excellent body strength, and takes on shady jobs under Shibata. Depending on the situation, he’ll even assassinate someone. Both he and Shibata relentlessly take aim at the protagonist’s life. He is a fearsome, unpredictable man. Nobody knows what he will do.

Miho Yamamura (voiced by Ayaka Kyo)

A little girl who mistakes the heroine Yuki Kouno for her older sister. She meets the heroine when she gets lost and is convinced that she is her older sister. The protagonist and Yuki try to return her to her parents, but the protagonist will have to escape various predicaments with her on his back on the way.

Shinji Yamamura (voiced by Kouichi Souma)

Miho’s father. He was badly injured in a traffic accident a few days prior to the events, and hospitalized. He feels compassion for young Miho, who loved her older sister, but has not been able to do anything while in the hospital. He will meet Yuki through Miho, who brings her along to the hospital in which he is hospitalized.

Users who purchase City Shrouded in Shadow early will receive a download code to obtain Disaster Report collaboration costumes. By using this download code, users will get costumes of “Masayuki Sudo & Mari Aizawa” from Disaster Report and “Kazuya Shinohara & Haruka Fujimiya” costumes from Disaster Report 2. These costumes can be worn by the male or female protagonist and heroine.

Usres who pre-order / purchase the download version of City Shrouded in Shadow between July 6 and November 15 at 23:59 JST will be able to play the “City Shrouded in Shadow Toro & Kuro Appearance Special Collaboration Event.”

In the event, players will work with Toro and Kuro in order to complete production on the game “Zettai Anzen Toshi 2” (this is a play on “Zettai Zetsumei Toshi,” which is the Japanese name for the Disaster Report series), the development of which has reached an impasse. By clearing the event, you’ll get collaboration costume(s) that can be worn by the protagonist.

A limited edition of City Shrouded in Shadow is now available for pre-order for 12,800 yen at the official Japanese Bandai Namco store. It includes a copy of the game, special t-shirt, special collaboration costume downloadable content (Pino from Pro Yakyuu Famista Climax for the male protagonist and Hikari Miyamoto from Summer Lesson for the female protagonist), and a huge tin badge with a code to playback the City Shrouded in Shadow theme song.
