■ Characters
Musse Egret (pictured right)
“How do you do, Professor Rean? I am inexperienced, but I look forward to your class.”
16 years old. A girl with a bit of a devilish personality from the noble family of count Egret in the western part of the Empire. She once attended Saint Astraia Girls’ School, but dropped out due to various matters. Suddenly aspiring to walk the path of a soldier, she joins the “Accounting Division” (Class IX) of Thors Military Academy Reaves II Branch School. She gets good grades and has class, but is interested in Rean and tries to seduce him at every opportunity. She fights using a magical carbine, specializing in long range attacks and rear support.
Ash Carbide
“Does it feel good to ride around in The Ashen Toy and work as a government dog?”
17 years old. A delinquent young man who grew up in the Empire’s western slums. Because he formed a team to repel the brigand during the civil war, he is solicited by the Imperial Army of Erebonia and Bracer Guild, but turns them down and enrolls in the “Tactics Division” (Class VIII) of Thors Military Academy Reaves II Branch School under the recommendation of a certain important character that previously appeared in the series. The Tactics Division consists of students with high fighting ability and includes classes about how to operate Panzer Soldats. He behaves provocatively towards Professor Rean. He fights using a variable axe, which can take on a sickle-like transformation depending on the situation and handles tricky battles easily. The story regarding his complicated origins in the red-light district will be told.
Aurelia Le Guin
“It is good to show the young birds the spirit of the Ashen Chevalier as much as possible.”
32 years old. She became fully proficient in the two major schools of swordsmanship at a young age, and is the countess of the Le Guin family also known by the name “Golden Rakshasa.” She retreats to the marine fort at the end of the civil war, and during the Northern War a few months later negotiates with the Imperial government to mobilize her army to invade and annex North Ambria as Imperial territory. After retiring from the military, she becomes the principal of Thors Military Academy Reaves II Branch School. The circumstances for her becoming principle will gradually be revealed during the story.
Major Mikhail
“Schwarzer, what is sought here is not a heroic deed by The Ashen Knight.”
28 years old. An elite, special duty major of the Railway Military Police. He fought alongside Prince Olivert during the civil war. Although he openly shows the rival spirit towards Claire Rieveldt, who is of the same rank, he worries about her. He is dispatched to Thors Military Academy Reaves II Branch School as a chief professor, but his true objective is to monitor Aurelia, a person of necessary caution, and uses the school as a countermeasure against Jaeger and societies that maneuver in secret.
Towa Herschel
“As a graduate of the same Thors, let’s overcome it together!”
21 years old. Professor of the “Accounting Division” (Class IX) of Thors Military Academy Reaves II Branch School. She appears young, but is brilliant and hard working. Given indication that the Empire will soon walk a turbulent path, she takes up the road of education in order to preserve the spirit of Thors. After graduation, she participated in NGOs in various fields and built up a network of connections. She hasn’t grown any taller.
