Bandai Namco has updated the official Japanese website for Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth Hacker’s Memory with details on the game’s adventure, training, and battle parts.
If you played the original Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth, you’ll find that none of this information is actually new. But we decided to share it for the sake of readers who may not have played the first game.
Get the information below.
Adventure: Become a Hacker and Resolve Troubles in Cyberspace
Become a “Hacker” in near future Tokyo, who undertakes and resolves various troubles happening in cyberspace, and together with your Digimon travel between the “real world” and “digital world” while taking on various cases. Go around fields and dungeons, gather information and items, and resolve cases stirred up by opposing hackers and Digimon.
Training: Evolve into the Strongest Digimon
Digimon are partners on your adventure. By choosing the “Scan” option in battles against the many Digimon lurking in the dungeons, you can acquire their data. By gathering more and more data, you can convert the data into a Digimon at the “Digi-Lab” facility in the digital world. Digimon will become even more powerful through evolution. There are 320 Digimon you can train in this game.
Battle: Change Strategies Based on the Digimon
Battles proceed through the “Active Turn” battle system, where Digimon take turns with attacks that combine speed and skill.
Use commands such as the standard “Attack” command and the SP-consuming “Skill” command to battle.
Digimon also have “types” and “attributes,” and each has advantages and disadvantages against each other. Choose skills and enemies to attack according to compatibility, and by connecting ally attack turns, you can trigger a “Combo” to deal even greater damage and enjoy a truly strategic battle. The new Digimon and support skills added to this game further expand the breadth of battle.
Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth Hacker’s Memory is due out for PlayStation 4 and PS Vita in 2017 in Japan, and in early 2018 in North America and Europe.
