Arc System Works and APlus Games have released an overview trailer for Damascus Gear: Saikyo Exodus, its recently announced PS Vita sequel to Damascus Gear: Operation Tokyo.
As previously detailed, Damascus Gear: Saikyo Exodus follows a completely new story with a new protagonist that pilots a robot called a “Gear” in order to repay his debt of 100 million Eyn within the span of a month. You can freely customize your Gear for battle from eight parts with an abundance of variations. You can steal powerful parts from enemies during missions to strengthen your own robot. Parts have special effects known as “characteristics,” and by combining parts and characteristics, you can build a Gear suited to your strategy. More than 45 types of robots and 2,400 types of parts that didn’t appear in Damascus Gear: Operation Tokyo have been added. Once you’ve established your Gear, you’ll fight rival Gears to win large amounts of money and return your debt, rank up, and take on higher difficulty missions to earn more valuable parts. Additionally, there are more elements to develop the player character.
Damascus Gear: Saikyo Exodus is due out for PS Vita in Japan via the PlayStation Store on March 22 for 2,000 yen.
