Malicious Fallen launches February 10 in Japan, fourth chapter detailed
The "Pursuit" chapter plays somewhat differently.Malicious Fallen will launch for PlayStation 4 on February 10 in Japan for 3,600 yen, developer Alvion announced. The game was previously dated for a February 21 release in North America and Europe.
The action game features four playable chapters. The first chapter, “Slayer,” carries over from Malicious for PlayStation 3, while the second chapter, “Rebirth,” from Malicious Rebirth for PS Vita. One of the previously revealed new chapters is “Demise.” Here’s an overview of its story:
As they happened upon the Malicious at the boundary of the abyss, the Prophets concluded that they had no means of stopping it should it make another appearance. Thus they proceeded with a new plan; a means of lessening the malice which filled the world.
They bestowed upon the religious leaders of the people new revelations and power, hoping that with piety came peace. But alas, with the passage of time faith became fanaticism and turned into new seeds of chaos.
Disillusioned by the nature of human beings, Monos, the leader of the Prophets decided to take the task of changing the world into his own hands. He began to envision a revising of the truths which governed this world.
The Prophet Hexa, however, stood apart from his compatriots. Adverse to the distorted ruin being made of the world due to the Prophets’ interventions, he resolved to use the Spirit Vessel in order to subvert them.
And newly revealed today is “Pursuit,” the fourth and final chapter, which is actually set between “Rebirth” and “Demise.” Here’s an overview of its story:
Several years have passed since the battles which ended the Four Kings and the reawakened Malicious…
In their observations of the rift opened within the Void, the Prophets discovered in its deepest depths that the essence of the Malicious yet endured.
The equational calculations of the Submersing Circle completed, the Prophets use it to send the Slayer into the depths of the abyss in an attempt to pursue the remaining vestiges of the Malicious.
Alvion notes that the “Pursuit” chapter plays somewhat differently from the rest of the game. From the few screenshots released, we can see multiple bosses on screen and a mysterious number count in the upper right corner.
