Total sales of The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel and The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel II have exceeded 900,000, Falcom announced in its latest financial report.
A regional breakdown was not provided, but using Media Create sales data, we can at least figure out around how many physical copies were sold in Japan. The last time Trails of Cold Steel appeared on a Japanese sales chart was the week of October 7, 2013, in which its totals were 184,311. Trails of Cold Steel II last appeared the week of October 13, 2014 with totals of 188,318. That means at least 372,629 copies were sold in Japan. But that, of course, doesn’t take into account digital sales—numbers that we don’t have.
The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel and The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel II are available now worldwide for PlayStation 3 and PS Vita. The next entry in the series, The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel III, is due out for PlayStation 4 this fall in Japan.
Update 4:08 a.m.: It has come to our attention that this is old news, as it was first reported by Falcom in November 2016. We apologize for the misunderstanding.
