■ An Itadaki Street to Commemorate Dragon Quest and Final Fantasy‘s 30th Anniversaries
To commemorate the 30th anniversary of the Dragon Quest series on May 27, 2016 and the 30th anniversary of the Final Fantasy series on December 18, 2017, a dream collaboration of both series’ 30th anniversaries will be released in the form of Itadaki Street: Dragon Quest & Final Fantasy 30th Anniversary for PlayStation 4 and PS Vita.
—From Dragon Quest V’s “Mount Magmageddon” to Final Fantasy IX’s “Airship,” a large number of impressive maps will appear. Of course, several new maps from this game will also appear.
—Popular characters from across both series, such as Maribel, Tidus, Cloud, and Bianca, will all appear.
—Multiplayer with up to four people is supported. Through the Internet you can battle against players all over Japan.
■ How It’s Played
Itadaki Street is a board game designed by Yuji Horii, creator of the Dragon Quest series. Players roll the dice, move around the board, and earn salary money to buy shops while aiming to become rich. It’s a game with simple rules that anyone can play and enjoy.
—Throw the dice to move throughout the board.
—Collect symbols (spades, hearts, clovers, and diamonds) to cash in at the bank castle to level up and earn salary money.
—Buy shops and stocks with your money to gradually increase your assets.
—If another player stops on a property you own, you’ll receive money as a shopping fee.
—Once you accumulate the target amount of money, head for the bank castle. The first person to arrive is the winner.
■ Characters
More than 20, fully-voiced characters from across the Dragon Quest and Final Fantasy series will appear. There will be a lot of back and forth between characters, making a serious game even more exciting.

—Once a game ends, you can earn coins based on factors such as your ranking. By bringing the coins to the gift exchange, you can exchange them for exhibits available to view in the Museum.
—Many famous scenes are being prepared. The characters featured will even talk about their memories from the scene.
—Not only will characters featured in the scene comment, but conversations by characters that go beyond the borders of that series will also take place. Here we see Maribel from Dragon Quest VII discussing a Final Fantasy X scene.
