Atlus 2017 survey asks about Persona 5 definitive edition, Persona spin-offs and HD remakes
Survey available until February 7.Atlus has published the 2017 edition of its annual online survey, through which it hopes to acquire feedback from users.
Here are a few things worth noting in the survey.
First, there is a question about the new Shin Megami Tensei HD project, which was announced at Switch Presentation 2017 last month. It simply asks users to watch the teaser trailer and checking off the boxes that apply. (“It felt like an Atlus title,” “I would like to play it if it’s free,” “I wonder what kind of story it has,” “The characters look good,” etc.) That’s it regarding that. The same question is also asked for PROJECT Re FANTASY, which shows the concept art instead of a trailer.
Later on, there is a question dedicated to the Persona series, asking users if they would buy the any of the following titles:
- A completely new Persona 6
- Persona 5 with additional scenarios and new elements
- Persona 5 fighting game
- Persona 5 dance game (sound action)
- Revelations: Persona HD remake
- Persona 2: Innocent Sin / Eternal Punishment HD remake
- Persona 3 HD remake
- Persona 3 dance game (sound action)
- Persona Q sequel and remake for other hardware
- Persona series board game
- Persona series online game
- Persona series shooting game
For each title, check boxes are provided to pick which platform(s) the user would like to play on. Available options are PlayStation 4, PlayStation VR, Nintendo Switch, Nintendo 3DS, PS Vita, smartphone, other (fill in the text box), and “I wouldn’t buy it, nor am I interested.”
It should be noted that just because a title is listed in the survey, doesn’t mean it’s something that will come to fruition. Although, Atlus has previously said it will announce “several” new titles in 2017, including the Persona series, so it’s possible that at least one of these titles is in development.
If you understand Japanese, the survey will be available until February 7 at 23:59. It will take a while to complete, so make sure you have the spare time. (Update: Persona Central has a full translation of the survey.)
