The PlayStation 4 version of Ys VIII: Lacrimosa of DANA will launch in Japan on May 25, 2017, Falcom announced during its general meeting of shareholders today.
The PS Vita version launched in Japan on July 21, 2016.
The PlayStation 4 version will run at 60 frames per second, feature new actions and improved control response, and improved graphics to match the performance of PlayStation 4, including anti-aliasing, point light, soft shadow, volumetrics lighting, and so on.
Additionally, there is a new system called “Domination Battles” where you can attack an enemy’s base together with castaways, an additional scenario that depicts the unknown past of the game’s second protagonist Dana, and other PlayStation 4 version original modes that will let you further enjoy the action of Ys.
