Toukiden 2 details and screenshots: Raizou, Shiki, Tenko, and Marionettes, new Oni

Koei Tecmo has updated the Toukiden 2 official website with new information and screenshots on the game’s Mahoroba Villagers, including Tenko and Marionettes, and two new Oni players will battle.

■ Characters: Mahoroba Villagers
Raizou (voiced by Tsuyoshi Koyama)
Vice chief of the samurai unit. While the title he assumes is despised by everyone, he strives in his professional duties without loss of pride and inspires his subordinates with his silence. He’s awkward and unwilling to be versatile, but abundant in faith.

Shiki (voiced by Hochu Otsuka)
A strategist of the Holy Mount. He is a mysterious person with an unknown past, but with a strong influence on the Holy Mount, who comes to Mahoroba Village to mobilize the “Kingun” unit to supervise the Slayers. His true purpose is unknown.
Tenko
Strange creatures that you’ll come across in the village of Slayers. It seems to have a unique ecosystem, but its origin is shrouded in mystery. It is a very clever creature able to understand human speech, who live leisurely and harmoniously while helping the people of the village.
Marionettes
Autonomous figures that are relics of a super ancient civilization. Many act as protectors of the historic ruins, but the majority are broken and cannot move. While investigating the historic ruins, Hakase repairs a marionette that she finds, who assists her in her work.
■ Oni
Amatsumitsutsuka
A female-type “Oni” with large wings. It glides as to travel the sky, and can fire powerful attacks of heavenly power. It is known to be highly intelligent, and many villages have been destroyed by Amatsumitsutsuka flying over.
Senzanou
A majestic “Oni” with four arms. It is known to have great power, and has an anecdote that has defeated many Slayers. As someone with experienced skill, the beast makes a worthy opponent for someone who wants to make a name for themselves.
■ System: Tenko and Marionettes
Tenko
Tenko whose “high spirits” have reached their maximum can accompany you in exploring areas. (Tenko cannot accompany you on Command Center and Slayer Headquarters missions.)
—Name
When you rescue a Tenko being attacked by an “Oni,” it will be waiting in front of your home, where you can name and look after it.
—Snacks
Giving a Tenko snacks will bring it great joy. Snacks raise its “high spirits” and “affection,” and can be purchased at the Everything Shop.
—Presents
If your Tenko’s “affection” is high enough, it might give you a present.
Marionettes
Marionettes can be dispatched to different areas. The dispatched Marionette will gather materials in that area and return after a certain amount of time has passed. If its discovery ability is high, it might bring back additional materials.
—Repairing
A Marionette’s endurance value can significantly decrease if it takes damage fighting during its dispatch. Because such damage reduces its ability, you should repair it when it returns from duty.
–Strengthening and Customization
You can strengthen your Marionette to increase its ability. If you increase its exploration ability, its dispatch success probability will increase. If you increase its battle ability, its decrease of endurance value during dispatch will be held back.
You can also produce Brain Circuits to increase a Marionette’s discovery ability of specific materials. If its discovery ability is high, it might bring back additional materials.
By changing a Marionette’s types of Brain Circuits, you can increase its discovery capability for the materials you want.
