Rumor: Arkane Austin-developed Prey game to be announced at E3 2016
The return of Prey?Bethesda Softworks will announce an Arkane Studios Austin-developed Prey 2 reboot during its E3 2016 press conference on June 13, according to Kotaku’s Jason Schreier.
“All I’ve heard is that they’re announcing it at E3!” Schreir said in a comment. “I’m not 100-percent sure, though. I do know it’s codenamed ‘Danielle’ and under development at Arkane Austin. And this is a totally new Prey 2 (it might even be called something else now), not the one we saw in 2011 from Human Head.”
While Prey 2 has been officially cancelled by Bethesdsa, rumors before its cancellation claimed the Austin studio of Dishonored developer Arkane Studios had taken over the project. Bethesda Softworks denied Arkane’s involvement.
Prey fan site Alien Noire, which previously also reported on the Prey 2 rumors, is also reporting Bethesda will announce an Arkane-made Prey game at E3.
Thanks, NeoGAF.
