Etrian Odyssey details Dragoon, Reaper, Warlock, Masurao, and Herbalist’s Two Titles
Also, class changes and character illustration stuff.Atlus has released new Etrian Odyssey V: The End of the Long Myth information and screenshots introducing the Two Titles of the game’s Dragoon, Reaper, Warlock, Masurao, and Herbalist classes, as well as some other stuff like class changes. ■ Use Race Illustrations as the Player Character
In Etrian Odyssey V, you can also choose the “race illustration” when making your character. Of course, you can also alter the illustration’s colors.
■ Class Change System
In Aeolis, a “Map Drawing Mission” is given to adventurers visiting the city in order to test what they can do. Only those who clear that mission will be recognized as official adventurers exploring dungeons. Adventurers recognized by the council will be permitted to change classes.
If a character changes classes, its appearance and parameters will not change. The character will drop five levels, however.
Through class changes, characters can change classes normally not available to that race, such as becoming a Therian Cestus or Bronie Necromancer.
■ Dragoon’s Two Titles
Kongo Dragoon
A Dragoon that specializes in guarding. It can learn a variety of guard-based skills and will act as a reliable shield for the party.
Gunfire Dragoon
A Dragoon that specializes in cannon fire. In addition to the further added damage of its cannon-based skills, it can also invoke status ailments.
■ Reaper’s Two Titles
Death-Spreading God of Death
A Reaper that fights spreading more diverse status ailments in its miasma-wearing state. Depending on your battle strategy, you can also inflict great damage.
Death-Distancing God of Death
A Reaper that demonstrates its power to protects its allies in its miasma-wearing state. It specializes in support, protecting its allies and weakening its enemies.
■ Warlock’s Two Titles
Six Element-Controlling Monk
A Warlock who freely controls the physical attacks of slashing, stabbing, and breaking in addition to the elements of fire, ice, and thunder. It is endowed with almighty fighting strength.
Ruler of Fire, Ice, and Thunder
A Warlock who is more powerful in the elements of fire, ice, and thunder. It cannot use physical attacks, but it is the greatest class when talking about the elements.
■ Masurao’s Two Titles
First-Class Four Heavens Warrior
A Masurao equipped with several swords that specializes in multi-hit attacks. With its maximum of four swords, it can slice up several enemies at once.
Peerless Sword Warrior
A Masurao that specializes in fighting with a single sword. Since it can learn various one-on-one sword techniques, it specializes in attacking single enemies.
■ Herbalist’s Two Titles
Benevolent Herb Master
A Herbalist that specializes in heal techniques using herbs. Those various recovery skills will become a strong power in keeping the party alive.
Ingenious Poisoner
A Herbalist that specializes in using poisonous herbs. It is a class that defeats enemies by inflicting them with status ailments.
■ Jenetta’s Inn
At Jenetta’s Inn, players can heal their party and save their game. In the parcel room, players can also deposit and withdraw items. It’s a convenient place.
Jenetta (voiced by Sakura Nakamura) looks after the cattle and chicken captured in dungeons. You can get ingredients such as fresh eggs and milk from her.
■ The Witch’s Twilight Pavilion
At The Witch’s Twilight Pavilion, you can receive “Quests” to gather items or defeat monsters in dungeons. You’ll receive various rewards for completing these requests.
At the Twilight Pavilion, you can also get various information from other adventurers. At times, this information will be the key to completing a request.
The Pavilion is managed by Melina (voiced by Akemi Okamura).
Etrian Odyssey V is due out for 3DS in Japan on August 4.
