Dragon Quest 30th anniversary countdown broadcast set for May 26

Square Enix will host a Dragon Quest 30th anniversary birthday countdown special live stream on May 26 at 21:30 via Niconico, the company announced.

The broadcast will feature MC Ayana Tsubaki, Dragon Quest series executive producer Yuu Miyake, and Dragon Quest series creator and game designer Yuji Horii. Together, the three will count down to the May 27 30th anniversary of the Dragon Quest series.

In addition to being the series’ 30th anniversary, May 27 is also the day Dragon Quest Heroes II: The Twin Kings and the Prophecy’s End launches for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, and PS Vita in Japan. It is the series’ 30th anniversary title.
