Stormcloud Games has released a new trailer and details on how co-op works in its upcoming PlayStation 4 and PC dungeon crawler Brut@l.
In two-player local co-op mode, you can share loot, level up, and fight together to survive with your partner as you descent to floor 26, where the fearsome dungeon boss, the “Guardian of the Dungeon,” awaits.
The loot you’ll find in dungeons is not shared and can only be used by one player, which makes sharing resources very important. If one player has a health potion and the other player is low on health, you can hand over or throw the potion at the other player to heal them.
As you and your co-op partner face enemies together, you can employ any tactic you think is best. For example, one player can use the Warrior to approach enemies upfront, while the other uses the Mage to fire magic from a distance.
There is also a revive system. When one player dies, the other player has the option to either revive them or move on and locate the dead corpse on the next floor. If you choose to revive your partner, you’ll give them half of your current health.
Brut@l is due out in 2016.
