■ The Sanada Clan
Sanada Masayuki (voiced by Hochu Otsuka)
A senior vassal who serves the Takeda house. A rare strategist brimming with ingenuity, he is nicknamed the “Magician.” As head of the Sanada clan, and as a father, he stands on the battlefield to display that way of life to his sons Nobuyuki and Yukimura.
Sanada Yukimura (voiced by Soichiro Hoshi)
The second son of Masayuki, head of the Shinshu Ueda Sanda family. He is a young samurai with a hot soul and a strong desire to support the Sanada clan. While he learned a lot from his father and brother, who lived through troubled times, he himself will encounter many military commanders and witness that way of life first-hand.
Sanada Nobuyuki (voiced by Yoshimasa Hosoya)
The brother of Yukimura and the oldest son of Masayuki, head of the Sanada clan. He heroically wields a spear, and is known by the nickname “Lion of Shinano” given his dauntless courage on the battlefield. He finds strength to survive the troubled times and is a faithful man who focuses on what’s ahead as he pushes forward.
■ Advance on the Battlefield as Sanada Yukimura, Masayuki, and Nobuyuki
Indispensable to depicting the lifetime of Yukimura Sanada, both his father Masayuki and older brother Nobuyuki make an appearance. This is the first appearance of a family together in the Sengoku Basara series, and the game will tell the heroic Sanada clan story never told before now. Sanada Masayuki and Nobuyuki are of course closley involved in this story that focuses on Sanada Yukimura, sometimes as reliable, playable military commanders who fight alongside each other. For this update, we will look at the story surrounding the Sanada clan’s Sanada Yukimura, Masayuki, and Nobuyuki.
After the death of the legendary Takeda Shingen known as the “Tiger,” the lord and Sanada clan who serve the Takeda house were hit with a life or death crisis by the threat of the Oda army. Takeda Katsuyori, the child that succeeded the family headship from Shingen, is captured by the demonic Nobunaga Oda, and is now on the verge of death. In order to rescue the lord, Sanada Yukimura will fight against the Oda army together with his army raised father Masayuki and older brother Nobuyuki.
■ Takeda Katsuyori’s Crisis! The Sanada Clan’s Do-or-Die Departure for Battle
Takeda Katsuyori becomes a captive of Nobunaga Oda. In order to rescue him, Sanada Yukimura, Masayuki, and Nobuyuki split into three teams and rush to Mt. Tenmokuzan. They face Ieyasu Tokugawa and others accompanying Nobunaga Oda, and people with other intentions on the battlefield. At the end of all these cutthroat battles, what destiny awaits them? Now, it begins. The story of the heroic Sanada clan.
■ On the Battlefield Where Various Intentions Intersect, Oda Nobunaga’s Shibata Katsuie and Maeda Toshiie Block their Path
Shibata Katsuie and Maeda Toshiie block Sanada Masayuki’s path. They each seem to have hidden intentions, but work together with the common goal of preventing the advance of the Sanada clan, and stand before Masayuki.
■ Tokugawa Ieyasu and Sanada Masayuki Clash Strengths
Along the way, Tokugawa Ieyasu, who serves Nobunaga Oda, appears before Sanada Nobuyuki. During the fierce fight, Ieyasu speaks strongly to Sanada Nobuyuki. What are the true meaning of his words…?
■ The Demon Hand of Oda Nobunaga Approaches the Sanda Family
Nobunaga Oda fires off an overwhelming presence. Followed by Akechi Mitsuhide, he draws closer to the Sanada clan. The Battlefield of “Sanada Yukimura-Den” is full of new stages, and introduced this time is the setting of the story, Mt. Tenmokuzan.
