Epic Games‘ multiplayer online battle action game Paragon will launch for PlayStation 4 and PC via Early Access on March 18, the developer announced.
The third-person action game is still in development. The Early Access release is missing features, some of the content is placeholder, and some systems (such as cards and deck building) require a lot of patience. All playable Heroes are free, and cards can only be earned by playing the game. Cosmetic items (skins, emotes), boosts, and other convenience items will be sold for real money. Epic Games stresses that the game “will never be pay-to-win.”
Here are your options for Early Access:
- Founder’s Pack ($19.99) – Includes access to the game, skins, boost, and other cosmetic items you can unlock by playing.
- Challenge Pack ($59.99) and Master Pack ($99.99) – Includes a huge number of skins, unlockable items, boosts, a unique skin, and a Founder’s Pack to give to a friend. (Complete details coming soon.)
Otherwise, if you’d rather not purchase the game, Paragon will be in free open beta in summer 2016. You can also head over to the game’s official website, sign up for the beta, and have a chance to play in free beta weekends.
