Atlus upcoming 3DS sequel gets first media blast.

Atlus has released new Etrian Odyssey V: The End of the Long Myth information and screenshots, introducing the game’s four races, 10 classes, character customization, and more.

Get the information below.

■ Story

“Arcadia,” a land dominated by swords and magic. A huge tree from ancient times called “Yggdrasil” exists here and is to be the reason that peace visits the world.

There is a legend about that World Tree. If you can manage to reach its untrodden summit, it is said that your dreams will come true.

“The power to dominate the world.” “The most powerful.” “The world’s mysteries.” “Expensive treasures.”

Although there are four races that live in this land, each has a different legend, but no person has been able to confirm them.

From the city “Aeolis” at the bottom of Yggdrasil, the official orders are issued. In pursuit of the legend, the courageous adventurers who will challenge Yggdrasil gather in Aeolis. You’re one of the adventurers in response to the official orders.

Whether it’s for wealth and honor, or to satisfy your sense of adventure, you’ll challenge the labyrinths and aim for the top of the World Tree.

■ Form a Party from Four Classes and 10 Jobs

Form your own party from four, newly prepared races and 10 classes. Because classes are different per tribe, it’s good to choose while considering how they’ll balance your party. You can also pick your favorite character illustrations.

■ Aim for the the top of the World Tree!

The player’s goal is to get to the unexplored summit of the World Tree. The inside of the World Tree is a complicated labyrinth. And what’s more, the labyrinth’s shape changes based on whether it’s day or night. The monsters that appear also change, so you should pay attention to the passage of time during your exploration.

■ The Flow of Exploration

■ Infinite Character Creation Possibilities

Players can customize the class, name, and outward appearance for a maximum of five party members. In addition to each of the 10 classes’ four different appearance options, you can also customize hair color, eye color, skin color, and voice (or set it to no voice).

Customization options include:

  • Hair color – 12 basic colors, or freely customize via RGB.
  • Skin color – 12 basic colors.
  • Eye color – 12 basic colors, or freely customize each eye via RGB.
  • Voices – 40 voices, or no voice.

  • Uncle Stoopnixie

This is amazing, so much variety.

I hope it comes to the west asap.

    • Jahu

I’m curious if this means you literally use all four of their equipment spots for swords, or if it’s just a lore thing.

      • CaRoss

It will definitely be interesting to find out exactly how that class works.

  • Jahu

    2017 is so far away ;___;

  • Zeria

    • Sal Romano

I said the same thing, but that’s how they romanized it, lol.

      • Taedirk

Hopefully someone will bump that to brownie soon.

        • Terithian

Yeah, that’s definitely supposed to be “Brownie”, not “Bronie”. I assume even if it’s not a typo in the romanization that they’ll fix, it’ll be changed for the English localization.

    • OlimacFTW

      That’s engrish for ya.

  • Unretributed

    Dem feet tho…

    Especially Shaman…

    • hng qtr

Rob Liefeld was clearly a big influence in Himukai’s art.

      • Unretributed

Lol the artist here and Rob must have took the same anatomy class.

    • Jahu

They must have hopped over to EO from Fire Emblem.

  • SeraphicSmile

Think you mixed up the descriptions for Therian and Bronie.

  • Kapoof

You guys inverted the Bronie and Therian race description.

  • Kiraly

The warlock looks like the lovechild of Alcor and Yamato Hotsuin.

  • something

I’m falling in love already. but I got the impression we would be able to freely choose the color for armor too :( customizable hair&eyes(+heterochromia!) is good enough for me. And I’ll say this again: these VAs!! not bad really, I’m not big on these things but I see at least 5 names I’ll use for sure.
Also these damn ears~ (fluffy, pointed…all of them)

  • OverlordZetta

I still think how they’re describing classes is dishonest given there doesn’t seem to be any crossover with them and races. If at least two races can’t be at least one same class, there’s no real reason to emphasize this since all the race stuff is really just stuff a couple of classes have in common.

    • Sypran

Ive read somewhere there was race abilities.
Essentially if they were all a single race, It would be no different then some skills/abilities that some classes will have in common. – Also you wouldn’t have access to these skills from subclassing. (if subclassing exists)

  • xXDGFXx

    Therian is fucking fluffy.

  • usagi_san

My little bronies. Character customisation. Some interesting classes to boot. Girls wielding four swords. Give me this game now!

  • natchu96

    Bladed coffins and lightsaber-spear.

    Lunaria are weirdos.

  • Calico

Er, it kind of looks like the Therian and Bronie/Brownie’s descriptions have been mixed up?

  • Glittering Crux

I wanna play this now. Just have to decide what I am naming my guild and characters!

  • kthanxyousuck

    Hound looks like Repede.

  • Paradox

looks good. might have to pick this up

  • Kingbee

Been playing EO from the first one, man I love this series.

  • DukeMagus

    Bronies became an actual race?!
