  • landlock

    Make it stop.

  • MegaRay

“definitive collection” gotta love the creativity these developers have in naming ports

    • Dystopiq

Please Give Us Your Money Edition.

  • Dammage

Does anyone actually like these games? From what I hear they are the most “meh” games in existence. Hate how clunky the controls are

    • Benjamin

Personally, I love the combat system alone. Of course there are shitloads of bugs and a mediocre story, but the combat itself is a blast to play.

Definitely not the most “meh” games in existence though.

      • Dammage

I would like the combat more if it was more smooth. What was there was nice but that one aspect completely turned me off

        • Benjamin

Yeah I understand where you’re coming from. It was poorly optimized.

        • genkivision

Dying Light is there for you

          • Dammage

That’s on my list of “too many damn games to play” games. Gotta beat Icewind Dale first

  • Limbless

    Definitive Edition?

    More like Defective… Edition!

    … zing!

  • Tracy

  • Dystopiq

But will it come with the severed torso?

  • Lara Croft

    No thank you :)

  • Elle

    You can keep it.

  • Lansou Everett

Give me Left 4 Dead instead. Loved the co-op in L4D2.

  • PorchettaMan

Dead Island’s definitive edition already came out, and it’s called Dying Light.

    • Elle

      *only on pc

    • Reggie Centeno

      Dont be retarded

  • Mozendo

Hope they actually put work in the remaster, specifically better textures.

  • bloodiOS

Huh… I’ll wait and see whether or not are these actually proper ports first.

  • genkivision

Meh. Theres Dying Light now. Deep Silver can keep this.

    • You

Dying Light was boring for me, the story seemed generic, all of the characters were unlikeable, visibility at night was poor, and the parkour didn’t make things simple, it seemed like every location you were supposed to go to was hidden in bunch of gates and garbage.

      • Limitless

Dying Light is huge, it has a great co-op mode, the parkour is excellent, and the visibility at night was a nice challenge. I just played the Enhanced Edition and it’s a really big game.

      • someguy-_-

Seriously… Visibility at night was poor? Well don’t go outside at night in RL the visibility is poor… LOL

      • Agent HUNK

        I agree 100 %

    • Reggie Centeno

Then why the hell are u on here

  • Chris Saldana

Is this game good never play it?

    • You

The gameplay is good, but it becomes great once you pick up some hacks and one-hit kill all of the zombies with unlimited ammo mods, even with all these crazy attributes, the game can still be challenging at times. They should give you achievements for finding some the popular bugs in the original.

      • Blackzero123 .

But the story is a train wreck.

  • Jinathin

I enjoyed Dead Island on PS3 and honestly, beside the story, dying light does everything better.

So long story short, better off buying dying light instead of this game and where is my Dead Island 2?????

    • MTK

Bought it for ps3 for $5 on good psn sale. Haven’t beat it yet probably a quarter through the game. Doubt I get around to it like many other games. I can thank psn sales and ps+ for that.

  • Peacenutman

Not even 1080p 60fps listed on the feature list, smh….

    • MegaRay

Because thats a given, right? RIGHT?…

      • Eh

Pretty sure I saw something about it being 1080p and 30fps…which is a joke. Considering how not demanding this game is even on the console hardware, it’s strange it’s not running at 60fps. If you were to run the equivalent specs as the PS4/Xone on a PC, you could easily run Dead Island at 1080p 60fps. Seems like a lazy thing to me. Let’s be honest the “improved” textures and all that is not going to be all that amazing.

        • MegaRay

          Well, thats lame

          • Eh

Yeah pretty stupid. There is no reason for it not to be 60fps, and if it’s just a port with some higher textures then crazy fps drops are going to be a thing still. The original games has some pretty bad fps issues (from what I remember). Guess I’m going PC version then.

    • Plerpy

Dead Island fully remastered into full 900p/20fps glory.

Would be no surprise for this fail whale of a franchise. First game went alright for a cheesy “B-movie” game. Riptide was a waste and now they can’t get Dead Island 2 off the ground.

  • Richard Miller

No thank you. I have dying light. :)

    • DavidCage

This is for people who cant play dying light on playable framerate because of weak card :-)

  • The_Kingdom51

I may get this if I see it cheap.

    • Tony

39.99 but if u have bestbuy gamers unlock you pay 31.99 tax not included

      • The_Kingdom51

I live in the lands down under so it’ll be $80 on release.

  • BigHurt360

Ain’t paying for this once more, unless it’s 20$ or less. Wasn’t that good in the first place. I’ll stick to Dying Light thank you very much.

  • The Jokester

OH WOW!!!! This is so cool. I think this is a great deal I wonder what improvements the games will have? Yeah they got a cheesy story, yeah they were a bit unpolished and had some funny glitches and bugs. But I just chalk it up to a good ol’ horror B movie. I’ll have some fun with this. I will prob pick it up with Amazon Prime 20% discount. Thanks for the info Gematsu you are the best!!! :D

  • Jesse

I’m guessing the 4 play co-op is still online only? While I can worth with that I’ll just have to buy two copies rather than one. Thankfully it’s not 60 bucks. It would be nice to have split-screen implemented though.

    • Sebastian C.

Yes, unfortunately. It is supposed to include PS4 share-play as well.
