Shame we probably won’t get this in the west until 2017

    • nekogenesis

probably or late fall early winter

  • Rain

We haven’t even gotten Atelier Sophie yet and Japan is already getting updated versions like this..

    • Lauracroft

gurl you gotta chill, I can guarantee you atelier sophie is coming out Q2 2016, this one is probably next year Q1

  • ringgo

    dat fps duh..

  • Uncle Stoopnixie

Holy crap i hope they work on the fps…This is barely 15 fps.

  • dark-kyon

Came for the usual pointless fps comments, leave satified.

    • MrTyrant

And? Its a big flaw that no company should feel proud about. Specially i see this one being worse than previous Ateliers on vita, never see a character like Ayesha move so slow in combat when previously it was just the exploration the drops.

Hope that at least get a proper update.

  • GigaGaia

I will keep playing the PS3 version if I want to. The things added to the vita version don’t make it worth buying again, especially since the graphics and framerate are inferior.

    • nekogenesis

how doesn’t it? i mean for one ayesha and also logy is being added, that alone makes me want to pick it up xD

    • Satoshi Ookami

      >Dusk storyline

Okay… if this is not worth then I have no idea what else could be added.

    • moreover

      ya wrong

    • James Reilly

      Enjoy the obsolete version then.

Why is the fps so low?
They took longer to port the first few atelier games back then because they put more effort into them. They have obviously been lazy with the reprogramming for vita because they want fast money because they already have a fanbase for atelier on the vita, so nothing to prove.

There are games look better than this that run better on vita.

Come on now, E&L Plus and Shallie Plus both have significant amounts of new content added to them, whereas the rest of the Vita versions were just simple ports with maybe a few new boss fights. Saying that they put less effort into these new ones is pretty silly.
The Vita ports have never run particularly well and I’m pretty impressed that they’ve kept the characters looking as good as they have here. Obviously that comes at the expense of the frame rate.

      • Hikari Langley

I’m a GUST supporter, but I’m also a realist. The extra content is not something that should make the frame rate suffer, it’s not. It’s the port job they do, Sophie doesn’t even run like that, and it’s a vita game.

If they would just take a few extra months to finish a game, meaning all of this content should have been in the original game, it would lead to much better quality.

But adding Ayesha, Logy, more re-skinned bosses, a few costumes, (prolly not for everyone) and more story fluff, that doesn’t advance the dusk plot one bit. I can’t give them props for that. It’s getting old. Fingers crossed I am wrong though, I really want the Dusk story to actually move on.

        • Cerzel

“The extra content is not something that should make the frame rate suffer”
Well of course not, but the extra content has nothing to do with the frame rate. As for Sophie, that was developed from the start as a multiplat release, so that’s an entirely separate matter. Oh, and it doesn’t run particularly well regardless:

  • Bobby Jennings/GodlessChaos

I’ll pass on the PS3 version and get the Vita version when it releases.

  • Mạnh Vương
  • Pepperkeet

OOOO those frame drops *rubs nipples* yessssss!

  • James Reilly

Can’t wait to see the new Ayesha stuff.
*insert FPS rant here like the other Vita gust games didn’t already have this and it matters a lot for a text heavy/turn based rpg.*
