12/21/15 – 12/27/15

Mobile Suit Gundam: Extreme VS Force for PS Vita was the highest selling new release of its launch week in Japan, debuting at 87,000 sales, the latest Media Create sales numbers reveal.

Genei Ibun Roku #FE for Wii U and Medabots 9 Kabuto Ver. / Kuwagata Ver. for 3DS debuted during the same week, selling 26,000 and 20,000 units, respectively.

On the hardware side, total 3DS hardware moved a total of 155,000 units, while every other platform outside of Xbox One saw significant to slight boosts.

In the final week of 2015 leading into 2016, Monster Hunter X for 3DS was the highest selling video game with 130,000 units sold, the latest Media Create sales numbers reveal.

There were no new releases.

On the hardware side, sales generally decreased or remained similar compared to the previous week, but were still high. PlayStation 4, however, saw a 12,000-unit boost.
