Kaga Create shuts down

Saki and Higurashi publisher no longer in business.

Kaga Create, publisher of titles including Saki: The Nationals and Higurashi When They Cry Sui, shut its doors on December 31, 2015, the company announced.

The company said it was not able to create a large enough growth potential in today’s smartphone app-focused video games market, which lead to its unavoidable dissolution.

In a message posted on its official website, the company thanked everyone that supported its products, and apologized for the situation it ended up in.

Though October 18, 1999 is listed as Kaga Create’s founding date on its official website, before it became Kaga Create, the company was first known as Naxat and established on June 22, 1988.
