So much ps4 love. I like it :-D

  • OverlordZetta

Hopefully BlazBlue will be coming to Vita later rather than not at all. Only reason I’ve been able to keep up is through the PSP/Vita ports.

    • http://resettears.wordpress.com/ Reset Tears

Perhaps the inevitable updated version of the game; I always just wait for that anyways.

    • James Reilly

Vita version likely will pop up later either in the vanilla and/or the inevitable extend just like CP/CS

    • Kayseur

CPEX was digital-only on Vita in Japan, while CP & the others before got physical release. That might be a hint as how they’re progressively ditching the Vita for the franchise, unfortunately. At least I wouldn’t be surprised if there was no handheld version this time. I hope I’m wrong though as I’m almost only playing the Vita ports as well.

      • James Reilly

Only reason CPEX was digital only in Japan was space issue. Ironically the localization went around this by making certain content free dlc to get a physical version.

        • Kayseur

Was it really stated as the only issue? (Though yes, I don’t see them investing more money in bigger cartridge for a game that’s going to sell 20k copies at best).

I didn’t know they made DLC for the localized version, I suppose it’s the extra stages/musics from the older games?

          • James Reilly

That was the only stated reason. If you look at the game size in Japan store for Vita it was pretty big. The “DLC” was the story mode and gallery mode which is free. That was how they made space for the localized physical version since DlC has no space restriction. CP was already pushing it but factor in even more story, character/stages, and actual full dual audio for Extend and it definitely won’t fit by normal means.

I highly doubt it was sales expectations especially after seeing them doing a Xbox One version.

            • Kayseur

Thanks for the infos. Yeah I know it’s huge, I actually have the japanese store version myself (my biggest Vita game yet… after PSO2).

I didn’t think about the X1, makes sense and gives me hopes then.

    • Jinzer0

I started BB off with Calamity Trigger on PsP and was a fan since.

Only console version I had was CS? on XB360, barely touched it, I’ve always played BB games on PsP and PS Vita.

Hope CF or CFEX? comes to Vita.

Until then, I’ll be playing CP or CPE(waiting for a good physical sale) on my PS Vita.

  • MrFinalgamer

Also Sal, a list of chivos (achievements) leaked for that TMNT game (most likely platinum’s TMNT game). Seems like the release is a LOT closer than we thought, if they already have chivos ready

  • PuppetMaster

Everytime i saw “Van Helsing games”, it always reminds me why Hellsing never got a video game adaptation? sigh…

  • Sevyne

At first I rolled my eyes at Blazblue being cross-gen again. Then I remembered that it’s not exactly a game that’s going to suffer for being cross-gen, so all is well.

I do however wish they’d just end it already. I do enjoy the games, but the story is getting kind of ridiculous (it always kind of was). It’s just nonstop failed plan, back up plan, back up failed, but I go back up for my back up, failed because of out of nowhere new nonsense twist, etc…Gets a bit tiring. The story reminds me of children adding +1, +2, +infinity to their argument, except everything being done is adding +infinity.

    • Rafael Martines

And now with 2 “Ragnas”, the one from current timeline and the other (Naoto) : 3

    • MrKappa

You may have a different tune this time since the story essentially reset itself… then again it is Mori’s writing so lol.

      • Sevyne

I guess we’ll see soon enough.

      • Luna Kazemaru

it didn’t that was only in the first act and that was nine fucking with everyone

    • DizzyGear

I completely lost intrest after CS. And thats coming from someone who has worn out 2 dualshocks playing CT.

  • Pork Bun

    Central Fiction..

  • ObserverLeon

Doesn’t H2 Interactive work on the Steam ports of Arc System Works titles? Aksys Games does console ports for titles like BlazBlue so I’m a bit confused here. Can someone clarify this for me?

    • http://gematsu.com/ Sal Romano

H2 is just the publisher in Taiwan.

      • ObserverLeon

Oh alright, that makes sense. Didn’t realize that. Thanks Sal.

  • bloodiOS

Going to be the last Blazblue entry on PS3, perhaps?

    • dark-kyon

Why you care, they aren’t going to remake the game again or redraw the sprites to 1080p anyway. they will reuse asset until the end of the franchise.

      • Rafael Martines

At least I hope they fix the resolution to fit the screen on PS4, Chrono Phantasma EX is just ugly u__u

      • bloodiOS

The question is why are you so pressed lol
It’s like I just hurt your family with that question xD

    • JBlue

This is likely the last BB game for Ragna’s story. : P

      • bloodiOS

Who can say? And even if that’s the case, there are still enhanced versions to come.

        • Setsu Oh

maybe they ll continue releasing stuff until the ps3 stops.
im surprised ‘mad fx BBCF’ will be on ps3 already

  • tokyobassist

Holy shit. Is that an online achievement and hints of an semi open world TMNT game with stealth elements?

    I want that game.

    • LunarHaven

How did you come to that conclusion? I am looking like crazy after your comment but still can’t see it lol

      • Skerj

Quite a few traversal achievements and then there is one for stealth.

    • Skerj

      Turtle switching too.

  • Chestnut Bowl

I’ll pick up Central Fiction on Steam a year and a half from now.

    • James Reilly

By then we get the next BB extend lol

      • Mr_SP

That’s what I did with Chronophantasma. Hate it when it happens without warning, too.

        • landlock

It’s ASW it not really without warning at this point.

          • Mr_SP

            Not referring to ASW specifically.

Fairy Fencer F, Hundred Knight, Ar Nosurge, Atelier. Too many companies releasing better versions as full-price standalone games, with only a year or two between them. ASW is just one more company doing it.

            • Black Battler

But doesn’t FFF adds a lot of things compared to the others.

              • Mr_SP

Yes, it does. It also includes the original game’s plot in it’s entirety.

  • http://twitter.com/kazumalynx Zero

I’ve heard good things about the Van Helsing games, I wonder if it will be a complete collection with a reasonable price?

    • landlock

It came free on XB1 with Games with gold on release so I wouldn’t be surprised to see it turning up on PSN+

  • Obelisk

    Playstation 4 or TB1 version?

  • Rodney

I’m more of a Guilty Gear fan but hopefully I can jump in this time since I won’t be way behind on mechanics this go round.

    • Setsu Oh

if only they could get the GG e’ngine and put BB on it. the characters are so small

  • Clousephinat

Since I heard that Rachel is shit now in CF I really lost interest in buying this, I’ll probably still buy BBCPEX when it comes for PC but as far as CF goes… Nerfing a character in a fighting game just because of the plot? That’s just stupid.

    • TokkanRAM

Rachel isn’t “shit”, she’s still pretty good… she’s just very different from previous games.

      • Clousephinat

For Rachel making use of her pumpkin was really important for her, but she doesn’t have it anymore and her frog is also nerfed, from what I heard most of the JP players like N-O said so and no wonder, for Rachel to lose her pumpkin is almost like I-No without her note, I really don’t understand how they could even think about removing that, ASW always starts doing silly changes to both games just to have an excuse to “balance” the game afterwards, and you always see the same characters winning in tournaments in the end, it’s clear to me after all this time they don’t really care about it.

        • TokkanRAM

They may have nerfed frog and removed pumpkin, but they buffed Lotus and Dahlia. Her entire neutral game was changed but she’s not really weak at all. N-O is still playing her and is currently 25th dan with her.

  • Pauly-kun

If CF is possible, they might ditch the PS3 port for US releases.

-It happens with all recent Bamco games.
-It happens with Yakuza 0, albeit I understand that it will not released until ’17 and the PS3 will lost support.

    • NeoStrayCat

Nope, usually Aksys goes all out with their releases, physical and all. (YMMV though if they decide to do an LE for it though.)
