Look forward to this year's announcements.

Super Robot Wars

Bandai Namco has teased new announcement(s) for the 25th anniversary of the Super Robot Wars series, which is in 2016.

“And now, we are advancing towards the 25th anniversary of the Super Robot Wars‘ 25th anniversary,” Bandai Namco said on the Super Robot Wars official blog. “While I can’t say anything concrete at the moment, we would be happy if you could look forward to future announcement(s). Personally, I feel [this year] will be busier than 2015.”

Super Robot Wars first launched as a Gameboy game in Japan in 1991.

    still not gonna be localized

    • Darak

who knows? Bambo has been doing some crazy localizations lately

      • Renaldi Saputra

Really? SRW has been very well known as a never-localized series, only a very few gets localized and they’re only OG saga. 95% of SRW never touched the west/english language at all

        • Budgiecat

he’s just talking about the sudden change in direction of localizing stuff that usually would get ignored

          • Renaldi Saputra

I know, even though so, still, SRW non OG is still beyond impossible as, well, Harmony Gold.
No wonder why it still stay in Japan since 91 whereas Gundam games has been in english since IIRC the PSX era, only recently since 2011 they stopped localizing

            • Budgiecat

Depends if a Macross rep is in it. Not really THAT hard to exclude it from a roster

Harmony Gold is beyond terrible. Someone needs to hack that company..jeez

              • Renaldi Saputra

Idk, whether included or not they still won’t be in english.

                • Budgiecat

I tried to research just now any info regarding the legalities of HG’s licensing; all I could find was a rumor that their contract runs from 2003 to 2021

              • Dysisa

How the fuck is Harmony Gold even still in business? Like what do they actually even DO aside from fucking with the Macross rights?

                • Budgiecat

they try to milk whatever residual profits they get I guess.

                  Basically a shell company…

No idea, but I’m wondering the same thing… My Audiosurf 2 stream was muted towards the end (at least the archive was anyway) because I used the Do You Remember Love theme, lol. I never would have thought their bony fingers would reach into the depths of Twitch as well.

                  • Budgiecat
                  • Dysisa

Jesus christ, they must be desperate if they’re digging THAT deep. Hopefully it’s a sign of their death steadily approaching.

                    • Budgiecat

they can be dicks rather easily. Worse than the Pokemon Company (Nintendo) at times lol

                    • Dysisa

Yeah so I’ve heard more than once. Still surprises me everytime I hear about it though, somehow.

                • http://twitter.com/GNPixie Lynx (Mobile)

HG is primarily a real estate company, something that I feel is still an use. Its clear that they just like sitting on the rights because they haven’t done anything really new with Robotech since Shadow Chronicles years ago.

Shadow Rising was supposed to be a thing (as SC leaves off a absolutely terrible cliffhanger) but didn’t materialize, the live action movie’s gone now where for years and they’ve never done any new games since Invasion.

      • Budgiecat

well Capcom shattered the multiple animu license localization nightmare myth years ago with Tatsunoko vs Capcom, and now Bamco disitegrated it with J-Stars+ and Sega as well with Dengeki Bunko Butts Climax, and now with Gundam Extreme VS Force which was previously like an impossibility….yeah.

We did know Bamco just had a stubborn defiant nature to localizing SRW ever since they fully absorbed Banpresto because Atlus had previously localized SRW OG 1 & 2 for GBA for Banpresto, and they localized SRW OG Endless Frontier, as well as a that Custom Beat Battle Draglade NDS fighting game, but as soon as Bamco absorbed Banpresto, bam! the ports (PS2 versions of SRW OG 1 & 2) and sequels (Endless Frontier 2 and Draglade 2) were ‘stuck in Japan’.

So yeah, hopefully Bamco US will continue their streak of breaking the usual norms of Bamco being not too localization friendly with their IPS not named Tekken/Ridge Race/Soul Calibur/Ace Combat/Naruto/DBZ/One Piece/Tales

If it’s an OG title, that would be doubtful since OG titles don’t go multiplatform. We only saw that with Masou Kishin (which, yes, is OG), but that story is completed already.

        • Richard Miller

You never know as it may be on PC as well.

          • Super Build Panther

            It won’t be.

I called Funimation’s lawyer once while he was at an airport waiting for a flight regarding bringing over games they have a license on. This was for Tatsunoko vs Capcom before it got localized. He actually talked to me for a while lol

but the secretary kept transferring me! dumb ho lol

  • prinnywin

Maybe it’s time for them to step up and start making better-than-mediocre games for the series.

    • Budgiecat

It takes a lot of effort to do the 2D artwork; OG2nd took a while to make transitioning to the HD realm.

Their 3D games leave a bit…less than desired (cause BB Studio), and theres the fact the Bamco just doesnt allocate them a proper budget anyway (which is par for the course with Bamco), so despite the power of the PS4 having a big potential capability, that in the end doesnt mean much if its not handled wth care..
Also have to take into consideration its a niche series so the ambitious effort poured in vs the potential sales result wouldnt exactly pair up in the companies favor.
Itd be nice to see what they can do with either the latest technology of live2D/Motion Portrait, or even go the route of GG Xrd tech that ASW uses (if they can emulate that), but who knows.

The most advanced the SRPG genre has moved is probably Valkyrie Chronicles by Sega anyway

      • prinnywin

It’s the problem with crossover games.
        1. These games will likely never see the level of innovation required to raise it out of mediocrity since these games will always have fans of the various franchises flocking to them anyway.
        2. The very concept of having to juggle these many different series and games already weighs down on potential gameplay options and systems.

There are many ways to tackle these issues but they will never come to light. Also, as SRPGs, you don’t need to look so far ahead to VC; FFT, Disgaea, Phantom Brave, La Pucelle etc. will always be superior SRPGs, even if I love seeing RX-78-2, Eva Unit 01 and Temjin on the same screen.

        • http://twitter.com/GNPixie Lynx (Mobile)

The big thing you’re doing wrong is you’re comparing SRW to Strategy RPGs proper. These games have always just been fanservice games, even the original title which is completely different from what the series has shuffled into over the years.

-The very concept of having to juggle these many different series and games already weighs down on potential gameplay options and systems.

GC and XO beg to differ. They’ve got the Capture System. Masoukishin’s got a subsystem with the Prana levels. UX has the Secret Carryover, which carries into the plot and Shin had the first attempt after Gaiden to do a game completely in full size sprites.

That’s not counting some of the spinoffs like Scramble Commander (an actual very solid RTS, albeit nowhere close to things like Warcraft and Starcraft.) There’s also Real Robot Battle Line (which I’d actually say is more of a SRPG than the main games where stats, levels and everything in general matter.)

          • Budgiecat

I always got stuck in both Scramble Commander games due to the complex menu screen language barrier and at one point the mechs would be damaged or something and they would just stand there not moving lol

          • prinnywin

Ha, that “thing I’m doing wrong”? Sorry, that’s not it, and you couldn’t be further from the mark.
I fully recognize it. Being familiar with the series and its numerous crossover titles, you think I wouldn’t?

These games exist to be fanservice games and will always be. That is why I always have low expectations for crossover games. However, after these many iterations, after all these years, it’s perfectly alright to finally expect something more.
And is it criminal to actually want both a fanservice AND full fledged SRPGs?
Is such a reality so impossible for this world?

Your examples you provided? I’m sorry, far too minor to be significant. Of course, I agree to disagree and would actually like to focus on the following:

I was glad to see the developers of PxZ actually taking the feedback and trying to make things better for PxZ2 instead of “lol we were just making a fanservice game, what did you expect?”. Of course, I have yet to see if they hold true to their word, but at least there was recognition of the game’s issues.

By the way, I love how you mention Real Robot Battle Line and Scramble Commander. In fact, I appreciate it. And they’re dead, and there have been no further attempts at those or anything as creative since.

Once again, I recognize and still appreciate fanservice when I see it, I squealed at Segata being in PxZ2 after all.
But I have gone weary and no longer find as much joy in simply seeing my favourite robots together as compared to innovative and fun gameplay. That said, I will also not attack anyone who continue to enjoy them as such. I simply present a desire to see the series grow in a different direction.

            • Budgiecat

              Macross 30 had potential

            • http://twitter.com/GNPixie Lynx (Mobile)

-I simply present a desire to see the series grow in a different direction.

Which they’ve tried. Multiple times. The cases I’ve presented? Most of those were cases of trying to find a formula that fit the specific game they were making.

UX’s secret carryover tying to the plot (as the game’s main theme was that of Yuga/Death and Rebirth), Masoukishin 3’s use of Prana management and the fact you were being outgunned and outnumbered the fair amount of the time (which in turn made the game much more reliant on tactical advantages like the skills you had, unit layout and terrain advantages) and even 2nd OG’s and W’s sheer ease fit the tone of the game where these characters were already veterans by the time the respective stories happened.

Hell, even GC/XO, OE and Alpha DC tried to make 3D games but those didn’t pick up.

              • prinnywin

Again, like I said, these examples aren’t significant enough. You think otherwise and that’s perfectly fine, I agree to disagree. Honestly, perhaps I should add to my post above that I would want to see more of those spinoffs than the next SRW.

                • Budgiecat

                  MasouKishin’s story is completed

            • http://twitter.com/SrTirano MrTyrant

SRW its a way better than PxZ in writing alone, yeah SRW have a way better story actually its great have show from different universe blend so well together its fairly unique compared with all different crossovers that always use some weird deus ex machina to put them together whitout them knowing nothing from each other. I fairly dont care about your silly excuse of innovative gameplay, I think the games are fine as they are and I have fun with them if you dont, then move on and stick to yours but dont complain when these so called shit outsell your favourite trash.

              • prinnywin

Oh god where did this come from. Try having a decent discussion like these other guys have attempted. Please show me where I complained about SRW sales numbers.
Also, SRW is full of expies.

          • http://twitter.com/SrTirano MrTyrant

I lost it when he mentioned PxZ as an example. Game is basically SRW + with button smashing + more tedious enemies and lvl design – an interesting story to tell – good original characters/enemies. Sure NamcoxCapcom were the most interesting ones, they deleted the previous in PxZ2

            • prinnywin

I’m sorry what?? Please do not put words into my mouth. You need to read and comprehend better. I never mentioned PxZ as a better example of SRW. I listed it as the same shit as SRW. The bit about PxZ from the comment below was about PxZ developers acknowledging the weakness of PxZ and wanting to do better for PxZ2.

        • Budgiecat

those SRPGS u listed are all old. Disgaea doesnt stray that far from their formula. I was basically talking about flipping the script and going outside the usual box by trying to be ambitious which is what VC did.

The furthest SRW did in that regard was try their hand at RTS with the Scramble Commander, but in terms of the animation 2D wise they’ve always been impressive in that regard. The slow scrolling backgrounds not so much lol

Capcom made the VS series (Marvel vs Capcom/Tatsunoko/Marvel vs SF/Capcom vs SNK etc), and they developed the engine for Gundam VS series which are good games, and then you got S-E with the KH series, Jump! Ultimate Stars on DS was good, and like it or hate it the Smash series has had its long run of success, so to say crossovers dont have potential or have never hit it, isnt necessarily true.

Now to offer some incite as to why several Bamco games dont get a consistent quality from game to gamewhen it comes to their mecha license stuff, here’s a vid on that:
          https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_t_ThzOsxhk

This pertains more to their 3D games as it seems they have a better handle on their 2D stuff but whatever

Bamco’s recently made a pledge to pursue greater quality in their work which is why they just hired that Konami Fox Engine/Square-Enix Luminous Engine/former Ubisoft designer Julian guy so who knows….

          • prinnywin

Listing old SRPGs is not a problem. It helps my point in saying that these old SRPGs continue to be more fun than most of the SRW series (outside of the fun derived from fanservice of course)
I know where you were getting at with VC, I’m simply saying you don’t have to look for something that different to see where SRW can learn.

Scramble Commander – Deader than dead. Get back to me when they become as bold again to make another.

Also, my comment on “crossover games” was surely not to cast such a wide net to relate to anything that contains multiple franchises. I could have chosen much more succinct wording yeah. I really intended to focus on things such as Namco x Capcom, SRW and PxZ. Things like KH and Crossover fighting games obviously get things better because they actually have to be competent at being games instead of relying purely on fanservice.

            • Budgiecat

              stop pooping on Scramble Commander.
It was an experiment on the RTS genre. It didnt sell to what they wanted it to so thats that. Dissing it doesnt give you brownie points as it feels more like you’re kicking a dead horse. :p
If you want to play that game we can kick Disgaea Infinite for being the first and last time they tried to make a visual novel lol
And S-E hasnt made a new FF Tactics games since God knows when…

There is a lot of hard work put into the 2D hand crafted animations of SRW that you are casually overlooking btw

and of course you know fun is subjective.

Can these be better? Of course. But I linked the vid there for a reason. I know you didnt watch it though as I can see by the time that has passed and your response :p

              • prinnywin

I’m not pooping on Scramble Commander. I love that they even dared to make it. I’m pooping on Bandai Namco being cowards for not wanting to experiment like that again.
2D animations? I don’t talk about that because I do think they’re great. But that’s why 99% of all SRW trailers always consist of them flashing their attacks. The game has nothing else going for it (other than bouncing boobs and the basic fanservice derived from seeing the different franchises)

I didn’t watch the vid because I was under the impression that it’s talking about the 3D games and I’m kinda focusing on the SRW games here. Besides, it’s 6am here and I need to sleep (my part of the world is already in 2016.)

                • Budgiecat

but SRW franchise delves into the 3D stuff…and a lot of the 3D stuff experiment with different ideas not found in the 2D stuff
and as I said you cant call Bamco ‘cowards’ for not pursuing a genre and then give Nippon Ichi a pass for not doing that with Disgaea Infinite :p

                  • prinnywin

Don’t worry kitty, I’ll watch the video. After I get my sleep.
And no, I don’t give Nippon Ichi free passes to anything. My name may have prinny in it and I love Disgaea, but N1 has problems on their own. Still, they’re actually making games like Firefly and Night Watch. That surely deserves some kudos.

And don’t get me started on the lack of another FFT.

                    • Budgiecat

                      dont forget Last Rebellion :p

                    • prinnywin

That should be in Disgaea 6 lol

                • s07195

Hey, SRW Magic is something I look forward to as well. Xd

    • http://twitter.com/GNPixie Lynx (Mobile)

      So….2nd OG and UX?

    • https://www.youtube.com/user/GamingHeroTetsuya TetsuyaHikari

Coming from someone with ‘prinny’ in their name, I hope you feel the same way about Disgaea.

      • prinnywin

I love this. I knew it was soon someone would want to use the prinny in my username to dig at Disgaea simply because we’re on the subject of SRPGs. I’ll give you the low down though, I’m not one who is continually looking out for the next installment in the Disgaea series, despite the username.
But I’ll pick any Disgaea game over any SRW game 98% of the time. That 2% is only when I’m in need of some Revolving Stake and Heavy Claymore, and forming my team of Gundams and Super Robots.

        • https://www.youtube.com/user/GamingHeroTetsuya TetsuyaHikari

Well, I just thought it was kind of ironic that you were posting about them needing to “step up” when Disgaea is still using the same system it debuted with on PS2, lol. The only thing that changed about the graphics is that now they’re HD sprites, much like the SRW stuff on PS3. I’m not really sure how you can claim SRW needs to make “better-than-mediocre” games when they practically look the same, just with different skins.

Granted, I’d say the attack animations for SRW games are a bit better than Disgaea’s, but that’s just my opinion. Still… If SRW needs to “step up” than so does other 2D SRPGs which are still running their games on isometric maps since those are pretty archaic as it is.

          • prinnywin

The difference is that I find the core gameplay of Disgaea to be more involving and deeper than SRW. Classes, skill transfers etc. Would I want to see more different takes on the Disgaea franchise? Definitely. It’s why, if you look below to some of comments, I point out that I look forward more to new N1 titles rather than another installment of Disgaea.

    • http://twitter.com/SrTirano MrTyrant

Give a me a good jam project song, best mechs and badass animation, cool end boss and will shed manly tears. 10/10 goty for me, dont need anything else, too much innovation but souless adventure is what i been getting lately.

      • s07195

        BX is pretty dang good.

3ds handheld games feel pretty much better than the mainline lately lol

      • prinnywin

Funny, because I do think the SRW series is pretty soulless in itself. Mind you, this is coming from a person who has went to a Jam Project concert, and has numerous models of the various mechas.

        • http://twitter.com/SrTirano MrTyrant

Disgaea is a souless grindfest adventure.

          • prinnywin

Only after the main story of the games really.
SRW is already this way fresh from the beginning. I do agree though, that if a new generic SRW game helps to get out more Jam Project singles, this series should just go on forever lol

  • Vfanatic

I hope these plans include not just a PS4 collection of Z1, 2, 3.1 and 3.2, but a localization of those games so I can get my Gurren Lagann game.

    • Renaldi Saputra

      that’s beynd impossible

      • Andrew Robinson

        IT’S ALL HARMONY GOLD’S FAULT

  • Von Himmel

    IT’S TIMEEEEEEE

I hope it’s for console only. Though even if it’s exclusive they might not optimized the game that much lol. Hopefully it’s as fun as UX in terms of story and crossover :(

  • Cage137

Easily the best SRPG ever made! Can’t wait to see it on PS4. Hopefully. Can we get Alpha 4?

    • Budgiecat

I dont like Galaxy Express 999 SRPG for Nintendo DS. Its downright impossible to play lol You start off as a kid in the snow with a lame pistol and you have to destroy cyborgs on horses and tanks!

also The Great Getter War SRPG for PS1 was very difficult. and Shin Yuusha Taisen for PS2

Aura Battle Dunbine SRPG was okay :p

    • https://www.youtube.com/user/GamingHeroTetsuya TetsuyaHikari

There will definitely be a new Alpha at some point (there will have to be in order to continue the story). The real question is… What platform will it be on? I’m guessing 3DS or some other Nintendo handheld down the line.

      • Yohann Piga

The alpha storyline is over, no?

  • OverlordZetta

Would it be too much to ask for for one of these big crossover games that doesn’t cut out 80% of characters from past games?

Get everyone from every previous entry ever and then put new people in, and repeat for every sequel!

    • Mr_SP

Considering how many different series SRW has used, that’s financially impossible, and monsterously large.

For one way they could do it, see SRW X-Omega on mobile.

      • Super Build Panther

        Alpha.
        Classic.

Z’s the real odd one out as characters who they heavily hinted at coming back didn’t. There was pretty big foreshadowing at Cagalli piloting again (first time she would since Alpha 3 and she technically does in the final battle when they’re defending Earth as Mwu isn’t even in Z3 nor hinted at) and the “Sempai” thing with Team D at the OG Dancougar team coming back.

Even characters who were playable in previous games just getting shoved into an attack DESPITE BEING MAJOR CHARACTERS in their series. Hell, Duo got new lines (first time since forever) but Rey was still dumped into an attack.

Z was just a mess in terms of planning. When Gunbuster and Diebuster are in the same game, you’d expect a combo. That gets dropped into text in Z3.

        • Mr_SP

Z isn’t the odd one out at all. In fact, I’d say that Z is an example of the very problem I’m referring to. Z3’s cast list was 50% larger than Alpha 3’s. And Alpha 3’s was at least as large as the last Classic game.

And it’s not as if Alpha lacked continuity problems. Several series went missing over the course of the trilogy – Brain Powered, Victory, Braiger, etc – with no explanation. Even Macross went and skipped a game. Z, at least, added series, whereas Alpha was 75% static.

Throwing together more and more series, at higher and higher resolutions, only forces them to cut more and more corners when it comes to content and minor characters. Z’s problem wasn’t planning, it was simply that they tried to make a series that was a little too big.

And it’s being suggested that they release a game with *well over 100 series*? It’s just not possible. They have neither the money, nor the fan base, required to even release it without bankruptcy, not to mention that they will never make the money back, even if it’s the best selling SRW ever.

  • bdp

    Original Generations 3?

    • Gargisamara

“Generation”. The only one with “Generations” is Super Robot Taisen OG: Original Generations. OG = Original Generation. They haven’t called another game that after that. So just OG.

      • bdp

I do that to differentiate between Original Generation 2 and 2nd Original Generation because they couldn’t just call that one 3 or something.

        • Gargisamara

It’d be just OG3 then. Not OGs3. And yeah, 2 and 2nd can be slightly confusing. They should indeed went different numbering name.

          • Super Build Panther

They actually did, iirc. The original games were just ORIGINAL GENERATION (in English)/ OG # whatever.

PS2 remake was Original Generations, with the S as it had both OG1 and OG2. Gaiden was Original Generation Gaiden (Note the lack of the S and number.)

2nd OG actually went with the more traditional naming scheme of the previous series with Dai-2-Ji Super Robot Taisen OG.

It’s a minor thing that doesn’t transfer in English well unless you use the full title but it’s there.

            • Gargisamara

I know. I have my Super Robot Taisen OG: Original Generations and OG Gaiden copies.

              And I noticed the 第二次 + 第三次 naming with 3rd Alpha, 2nd Z, 2nd OG and 3rd Z.

  • Ksatmata

    about time

  • Hiruman

Finally. ‘ll be happy as long it’s not some shitty mobile game.

    • https://www.youtube.com/user/GamingHeroTetsuya TetsuyaHikari

Yeah, I’d be mad if they wasted this opportunity on another mobile title :/

      • prinnywin

It’s actually rather ironic that Χ-Ω is one of the freshest takes on the SRW series, despite being a clone of Chain Chronicles.

        • https://www.youtube.com/user/GamingHeroTetsuya TetsuyaHikari

Well, their “fresh take” looked pretty stupid, imo. The system is fine the way it is, so I’m glad that system is for a game on mobile instead of being wasted on console or a handheld. Most RPGs I see on mobile are a Chain Chronicle clone though.

Actually, they’re more like a Granblue Fantasy clone. Granblue Fantasy basically took Chain Chronicle’s formula and just made it better, then every other RPG that came after it just copied that formula, lol. Kind of sad really.

          • prinnywin

Wait, are you talking about other aspects of Granblue Fantasy, asides from the core battle system? Because Granblue Fantasy and Chain Chronicle’s battle system is completely different. Granblue Fantasy is more akin to a traditional turn-based system.
CC, as you know, is a tower defense game without the tower and heavy resource management.
Honestly, Granblue really has no place in this discussion at all.
Χ-Ω IS a literal clone of Chain Chronicle, that’s why Sega, who made CC, is making Χ-Ω.

            • https://www.youtube.com/user/GamingHeroTetsuya TetsuyaHikari

I just meant with their whole card system and battle layout (not exactly the tower defense part) since they look similar at first glance. There are also many other RPGs I’ve found which share similarities with these two (more so for Granblue Fantasy though).

              • prinnywin

The whole card system thing is basically one of the core systems in a majority of mobages, along with the gacha and stamina systems. You will find numerous games with it.
However, Granblue itself has a different take on it. Characters aren’t represented by cards, you get the actual characters and their weapons. It’s a small difference, but one that I feel aids in immersion and just a slight display of Cygames wanting to make something more akin to a full fledged RPG.
This is further highlighted with the use of a consistent artstyle (lovely Hideo Minaba art) and colouring to make everything blend seamlessly together, heavily contrasting the standard mobage’s use of multiple artists with all kinds of artstyles for characters.
All in all, Granblue does many things more differently than most standard mobile games.
Chain Chronicle, outside its battle system and individual stories for its characters, was pretty formulaic with the standard mobage systems.

        • Budgiecat

if by fresh you mean a fresh steaming dump of poo then okie :3

          • prinnywin

I’m not vouching for its quality. Make no mistake about that. Being a clone is enough to put me off the game already. It’s simply about giving credit where its due and that it’s a new take on what SRW is.

    • Budgiecat

the mobile one is so bad too lol I cant even be bothered to download it :3

  • DavidCage

PS4 or better not make it if its become smartphone game

    • Richard Miller

I’m sure Bandai will put it on PC and PS4. Well if they like money.

      • Klaudkil

You do mean ps4 and pc.
Japanese games always are console or handheld first(main platforms)
And ported over in the west to pc.

So its ps4 and pc. Xd

        • Richard Miller

I said PC and PS4. Did you read my post?

          • orcist

it will not come to the pc, there wasnt ANY super robot wars game for pc yet.

            • Richard Miller

Their was also no DBZ fighting game on PC before Xenoverse came to PC. The thing that gamers need to learn is to never say never as PC is getting more jap support than it ever got before. So this may come to PC we will just to have to wait and see. :)

      • DavidCage

        They always love money…lol

  • Geese Howard

It has been a while since Banpresto made a blood boiling SRW game… most of the previous SRW’s were just meh IMO. Still remember when they announced Alpha it was really hard boiled. Problem is they need to add the right series and introduce new worthy series into the game. Hopefully they can deliver something fresh to us this time.

    • Dead Maid

The last best one was Z1.

  • Kobracon

PS4 SRW please PS4 SRW please PS4 SRW please PS4 SRW please PS4 SRW please PS4 SRW please PS4 SRW please PS4 SRW please PS4 SRW please PS4 SRW please PS4 SRW please

    • Freddy

      Yes Yes Yes Yes Yes…

    • Richard Miller

Don’t worry It will most likely come to PS4, PC and maybe XB1. Be careful asking for games can be seen as begging and that is frowned upon on this site. :)

      • Kobracon

“Be careful asking for games can be seen as begging and that is frowned upon on this site”

        Uh…..what?

        • Richard Miller

Better you hear it from me than one of the more rude people here.

          • Kobracon

My confusion is that I wasn’t begging. Imagine a person closing his eyes with his fingers crossed and chanting that because I am hoping thats what the news is gonna be. That was the angle I was going for in that post.

Ppl don’t beg for games here. In my years of being on this site, I have never seen anyone else do that.

Also trust me, I’ve tangled with the ‘rude’ people here. He’s just a pussy.

            • Richard Miller

Yeah I agree with you. I don’t see it as begging. Hell I don’t see asking or begging for games as a bad thing. I’m just warning you that some of people here do hate that for some reason.

              • Kobracon

Again, thats news to me, coz I’ve never seen that round here.

  • AceZero

Soo what are the chances for the Muv-Luv series to be in this game ?

  • Devilgunman

How about making a new SRW that is actually challenging? SRW in the past decade has been a snooze-fest. Kids can take a beating from difficult games these days.

    • Freddy

      Totally agree!

  • narzz

the question is,.will it get translated?

  • Freddy

Time to launch one for PS4, multi-player, allowing teams to compete with each other. Perhaps pre-defined teams that requires leveling up playing with others or continuously beating a real-hard-nightmare-mode CPU/stories.
It would be fun to be able to have a 2 to 4 multi-player battle. And if the players want to view the battle scenes, they will have to spend one credit (because you make the others wait online and longer during your turn).
Developers should really listen more to their customers :)

    • Richard Miller

It will most likely come to PS4, PC and maybe XB1.

      • Freddy

Ah! PC would be definitely good!

    • Super Build Panther

They already tried multiplayer with XO.

      It did terrible.

  • miyamoto

If PS4 got JStars Victory Vs localized so can they SRW

    • flashn00b

The difference between J-Stars and Super Robot Wars is that the latter wasn’t created out of a dislike towards the western demands for Gundam Extreme VS.

Just want the original characters from J added to the roster.
I would love seeing Calvina, The Fury/Furies and Bellzelute in HD. It’s been a while, right!

But ok! Just go for it!
