River City Ransom SP announced for 3DS [Update]

3DS game offers new events and actions.

Arc System Works announced Downtown Nekketsu Monogatari SP, or River City Ransom SP, for 3DS in the latest issue of Weekly Famitsu.

The 3DS game is the first title set to celebrate the Kunio-kun series’ 30th anniversary in 2016. It will feature new events and actions.

A release date is not yet announced.

Update 6:31 a.m.: New details have come in via leaks from Weekly Famitsu.

River City Ransom SP will launch for 3DS on April 28 in Japan for 4,500 yen. It will feature new events, new techniques and combos, new areas, and new systems compared to the NES original. Development is currently 65 percent complete.
