A free Rocket League update in November will add “Mutators” that allow players to “mutate” their matches with a number of presets and custom settings, developer Psyonix announced.
For example, you can play low-gravity “Moonball” with extra boost. Or you can relive game modes from Rocket League‘s predecessor, Supersonic Acrobatic Rocket-Powered Battle-Cars, including “Cubic” and “Time Warp.”
Once the update is out, you’ll be able to create new Custom Matches with your own rules and settings. A “Mutator Mashup” playlist will allow you to enjoy pre-determined mutated matches in public games, as well.
Psyonix will be live streaming Mutators in Rocket League tomorrow, October 29, at 2:00 p.m. PT / 5:00 p.m. ET on Twitch.
