Media Create Sales: 8/24/15 – 8/30/15

The 3DS version of Dragon Quest VIII: Journey of the Cursed King debuted its first four days at 585,000 sales, making it the top seller in Japan during its opening week, the latest Media Create sales figures reveal.

Dragon’s Dogma Online, while free to download on the PlayStation Store and PC, received a limited edition retail release. The PlayStation 4 version opened at 29,000 units, while the PlayStation 3 version moved 8,000.

Also new this week, Sony Computer Entertainment and Supermassive Games‘ interactive horror title Until Dawn debuted at 17,000 sales.

On the hardware side, the release of Dragon Quest VIII doubled sales of New 3DS LL compared to last week. Everything else saw slight increases.
