Another new post-game dungeon confirmed.

Dragon Quest VIII for 3DS

The 3DS version of Dragon Quest VIII: Journey of the Cursed King will add a new ending, the latest issue of Jump magazine reveals.

How the game ends is unknown, but here are some hints (potential spoilers, of course): “surprise developments,” “an angry King Clavius,” and “a sad protagonist.”

Additionally, after clearing the game, there is another new, still unknown dungeon to be explored. This dungeon, dubbed the “Ultimate Trial,” will feature “Purple Treasure Chests.”

    The secret ending in the original is already pretty good. I can sort of guess this new one from those hints though. Not like this game has such complicated plot or casts.

        Just buy that one when they make it available they said they were putting both out. hopefully they Mr. Horri meant what he said in France about them coming west. Despite his translator being unhappy about it .

      That”ll be when it’s cleared up about mr. horri said in France cause some people are still pushing that thing where sqaure isn’t sure if this will come west or not due to some unknown time when they stated they’re not sure if this will come west or not . those the first I saw said that was on siliconera and he made it clear it was prior to what was said to the gamer news outlets in France .

    It’s obvious a sad ending, anyway, we already had the good ending, the “normal” ending, so it makes sense to add a sad one.

      Or ‘unexpected development’ one. It doesn’t have to be sad, even with those misleading words. There are any number of way to make it work without making it a “bad” ending.
