A re-imagined version of the fan-favorite multiplayer map “Nuketown” is coming to Call of Duty: Black Ops III, Activision announced.
“Nuk3town,” as it’s called in the third installment, is set in the year 2065 and is “refreshed for a new generation of gameplay.” It integrates Call of Duty: Black Ops III‘s momentum-based chained-movement system.
The map will be included with pre-orders as a download code across the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC versions of the game. It will be accessible on day one.
“The Nuketown maps have a special place in Call of Duty multiplayer history and we can’t wait to build upon that heritage in Black Ops III,” said Treyarch studio head Mark Lamia. “We carefully adapted the design of the map to make sure that it fit with our new movement system, but to also make sure that we retained the spirit and the fun that made fans fall in love with it in the first place.”
Call of Duty: Black Ops III is due out for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC, PlayStation 3, and Xbox 360 worldwide on November 6.
