Square Enix announces Gamescom 2015 lineup, multiple Final Fantasy XV stage events planned

Final Fantasy XV

Square Enix has announced its lineup of titles for next month’s Gamescom in Cologne, Germany.

These are the publisher’s events:

  • Hitman Live theater demonstration (in German) at the Square Enix cinema.
  • Deus Ex: Mankind Divided Live theater presentation (in German) at the Square Enix cinema.
  • Final Fantasy XV The “huge stage” of Square Enix’s booth is all about Final Fantasy XV. Visitors will be treated to “a number” of stage presentations with many well-known guests and new insights into the upcoming game. Select fans will also get the chance to play Final Fantasy XV: Episode Duscae 2.0 at the booth. More information regarding the Final Fantasy XV stage schedule will be announced in the coming weeks.
  • Final Fantasy XIV The Final Fantasy XIV Battle Arena will be available in hall 9, CS1, where players can face-off against all the powerful primals featured in the game in order to win attractive prizes. Returning to comment on the action live are the ESL commentators Mori, Hendrik and A1m.

In addition to this, Square Enix says it has “more new announcements and reveals at Gamescom 2015,” which will also be shared in the coming weeks.

Final Fantasy XIV: Heavensward

Heavensward is the first expansion for the popular online title Final Fantasy XIV that charts a new course for players with an increased level cap and brand new adventures. Deus Ex: Mankind Divided

Dragon Quest Heroes: The World Tree’s Woe and the Blight Below

Developed by Dontnod Entertainment, the Paris-based studio that released its debut game Remember Me in 2013, Life is Strange takes place in the fictional town of Arcadia Bay, Oregon, where senior Max Caulfield returns after a five-year absence. Reunited with her former friend Chloe, the pair begins to uncover the uncomfortable truth behind the disappearance of fellow student Rachael Amber.

The PC edition that was recently confirmed for release will be distributed through the “Steam” online gaming platform. Hitman Go is a turn-based puzzle game with beautifully rendered diorama-style set pieces.
