Sony Computer Entertainment shipped three million PlayStation 4s in its first quarter fiscal year 2015, the company announced.
The number is up from the previous quarter, in which Sony had shipped 2.4 million PlayStation 4s.
A total of 25.3 million PlayStation 4s have shipped worldwide since the platform’s initial November 15 launch.
Sony notes that, compared to the same quarter of the previous fiscal year, first quarter fiscal year 2015 has seen an increase in PlayStation 4 software and peripheral device unit sales, but a decrease in PlayStation 3 hardware and software sales.
