Dragon Quest VIII 3DS adds Camera Mode, Photo Quests

Take pictures of rare monsters and hidden items.

The 3DS version of Dragon Quest VIII: Journey of the Cursed King has a new “Camera Mode” that lets you photograph your favorite scenes, Square Enix announced.

To access Camera Mode, simply press the Start button during the game, allowing you to take a photo of the current scene. The captured photo is saved to the SD card.

You can also take commemorative photographs of your party and select their poses. Additionally, at the newly added “Photographer Fort,” you can take on “Photograph Quests” from NPCs to take pictures of rare monsters and hidden items.

Dragon Quest VIII is due out for 3DS in Japan on August 27.
