Nintendo‘s next console, code-named NX, will not use Android as its operating system, a company spokesperson told the Wall Street Journal.
“There is no truth to the report saying that we are planning to adopt Android for NX,” the spokesperson said.
Yesterday, Japanese newspaper Nikkei reported that the console would run on Android in efforts to better open development, and allow developers to create software that would also run on smartphones and tablets.
